Caro has reported that Brad Scott could be our man and further to it says
Collingwood has had talks with him (didn't say when)

The one holdup seen to this is Scott's involvement in luring Dustin Martin tho reports are he ain't leaving Punt Road

Just one more "rumour" to add to the speculation

This is his eighth year at North and they're lower on the ladder than we are. How is that an upgrade?

Knew it weren't true as Barney Ross aka Silvester Stillone and the Expendable team already signed

You mean, this...?

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/nathan-buckleys-time-is-up-at-collingwood-and-brad-scott-is-in-the-box-seat-to-replace-him-20170710-gx8ieb.html

It's been shot down. North Melbourne chairman Ben Buckley has said Scott will be coaching there in 2018. And seeing as how Scott is contracted for 2018, the Kangaroos can (and would) block him from moving...

No fan of Brad Scott but this rumor has been constant all year from all the sources. Earlier in the year, "Brads Scott's admission that he and North Melbourne could reach an amicable parting at the end of 2017". We will no doubt see a plethora of posts comparing his coaching to Buckley's. It's clear there will be a change at years end and speculation will remain and intensify week after week.

What if Brad Scott brought Dusty to Collingwood?

(Not sure I want either mind you. Could you imagine the tabloids never-ending "Pies' Dusty Shock" headlines.)

If Buckley is to go then the replacement must be an obvious proven upgrade or at the very least having vast experience as an assistant coach with a successful club.

Brad Scott is not that person.

Brad Scott ticks both those boxes, on any scale or other measurement tool ever invented.

As I've mentioned before, I'd be shocked if Walshy was involved in luring him from the Kangas.

If the Pies had any sense - which clearly they don't - there's no way known they would consider Brad Scott. He's done nothing at North. Mind you, he's achieved a hell of a lot more than Buckley.

he has however won finals, plural, that is more than one...
