Sutherland sticking to cricket. So there is a top 10 gone. Although the poor kid could be going into a toxic environment that his Dad has helped create. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

“I read that with interest on Friday,” Bell said on Fox Sports’ Gameday Live this morning.
“Obviously, negotiations are ongoing.
“I’ve always been confident … that Nat Fyfe will be re-signing with Fremantle.
“But until his signature is on the dotted line, I’ll be a little bit nervous.
“But again, (I’m) confident.
“He hasn’t signed as yet, but hopefully it can happen before the end of the season and we can put that to bed.”

His U18 carnival was a break out for him. I had long heard that he was more a super talented athlete rather than a " pure " footballer, so I'm not overly surprised.
There are still plenty of talls in this draft.
Ballenden is off the table as a Brisbane academy player ( great prospect )
and Jarred Brander now looks likely to be the first of the talls to go who is available to all clubs. He is slightly undersized for a key position but plays tall and should keep growing.
Next in line for talls might be Coleman - Jones from SA or Jaidyn Stephenson ( Vic ) who have both played all their footy as key forwards and spells in the ruck for their U18 clubs.
We will probably have anywhere between pick 3 and 8 in this draft. With Sutherland off the table, I wouldn't think that makes any real difference to what's on offer in the way of quality tall prospects in the top 10.
Bring it on. |

Lions will take best player with Ballenden as a gift. North need a class midfielder. Suns will need to replace Ablett. Midfielder. Saints might want a StNick replacement but also need to replace Montagna. Probably take best on offer. One of these picks could go for Lever or Martin. Should be a tall left unless we go past 3 or 4 other sides. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

I'd give up Keeffe, Thomas (both from Qld) and our first round pick for 2 Metre Peter Wright from cold toast. |

Harley Balic from the Dockers. Looks like he wants to come home to Melbourne. I know nothing about him. Who does? _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Harley is a former Sandy dragons kid. Im involved with the Dragons and I watched his progress in the year he was drafted and he was easily the stand out player in a poor 2015 team.
Reasonably well skilled and finds the ball as a mid and half forward. Had a reputation as a party boy and many felt going interstate would be good for him. He took time away from the game about two months ago and I heard he was homesick back then.
That would make sense that he wants to come back home.
He looked OK in his few games this season. Like most kids with talent, it all depends if he has learnt that talent alone, just isn't enough these days. |

@AFLTradeWhisperer suggestion the Brion's 197cm 98kg forward Michael Close wants to return to Victoria, with Collingwood his preference.
Can't seem to get a game with the Brions, so I guess we will have to have him. |
