FFS, why do we have to compare them as players?
I was a fan of Beams, but I'm rapt in what Sidey gives us every phucking week. If Sidey was allowed to play closer to goals more often he'd be more recognised as the match winner he is.

P4S ole mate at this stage I'm happy we can both smile and enjoy a good old fashion debate with respectful humour and agree to disagree
On a side note head over to trades post I'm about to post a really curly question for the brains trust |

I'm starting to wonder if Steele may have cut qldmagpie67's grass? _________________ People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again. |

Nah AT nothing like that just been a long time knocker of his (even though I have given him GB votes and praise at times)
P4S and myself have had this long going debate and it's nice to do it in a respectful way and adding in some tongue in cheek jabs for good measure |

INC Player of the week—35 disposals 3 goals for Sidey ✅✅✅✅✅
Always been an A grader who at times previously chose “dinky” kicks that were ineffective —a minor blotch on his performance
But I see a great player getting greater and note he is more direct with his
trademark take game on still there
He is having best start to a season—go Rusty _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Backed him at 80/1 in the Brownlow pre-season (also backed Treloar @ 50/1 & DeGoey @ 500/1)
Currently 66/1. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

^ Both early candidates for the AA team. I hope they keep it up throughout the season.
Dont know about winning the Brownlow though. I've always hoped Pendles would win that someday, but I think his chances are almost over.
Anyway, I should be hoping for team success about individual accolades. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

He's an absolute superstar. Can go forward and be very dangerous, can win the ball from the middle and can run as hard as anyone. Today's numbers were extraordinary, all while shutting down Sloane. _________________ Well done boys! |

I've been one of Sidey's harshest critics over the past few years.
I've been accused of hating him (which I've always said I didn't) and bagging him relentlessly when it wasn't warranted.
Ok maybe I've been harsh but I've always said he's best is fantastic but we need to see it more often and over every quarter in a game.
Well folks I'm here to tell you that these first 4 games and 16 quarters I can't think of a single time he hasn't been outstanding.
I'm a big enough man to admit this form is the form of a "Elite" player.
Credit were its due he's not only been racking up stats at will he's shown me tonight he can take his game to a different stratosphere.
Not only did he have 43 touches, 12 clearances, 10 tackles he held a guy rated a 10 midfielder to 16 (mostly) meaningless possessions.
I'll dip my hat to Sidey if this form continues he's a monty for his first AA honours and big chance to finish top 5 or so in the Brownlow (he's problem there is bloody Grundy is playing outstanding as well)
Now my ole mate P4S will most likely be either smiling like a Cheshire Cat or on his way to the emergency department to have his heart restarted
