There are some people on this website in need of course in character building. It gets a bit tedious listening to abuse masquerading as reason.

I agree.

I think it was the worst decision since:

* Captain Edward J. Smith said ignore the Iceberg.
* Since Chamberlain said we have peace in our time after meeting with that nice Mr Hitler chap
* The late great Tommy Hafey said train 'em even harder after the first drawn grand final of 1977
* Who ever said the motor vehicle will never catch on
* Peter McKenna being told that a there's no future in the morning TV show "Hey Hey it's saturday"
* That reality TV will never catch on
* Betamax will outsell VHS
* The marketing guys at Collingwood said we can charge legends members $900 a year & they'll still continue to come no matter what tripe we serve up
* Since Tuddy decided to take out a Carrrtlon player at the MCG instead collecting Peter Mc Kenna in 1970
* Talking fillums will never catch on
* Saying Blue Poles was a poor investment

Then again I could be overstating this

However, apart from that it is a fine decision Shocked

All the reality in the world won't change some people's perception. Walsh said based on all the info that he gathered that he was happy to recommend a new contract. It's time to look forward now.

remember that episode of Dr Who where Eldrad returned in triumph to rule his planet...

Only to discover there was nothing there. Feels a bit like that today...

This is forum, so all opinions are welcome. Those on here trying to quash that opinion are just displaying undemocratic sensitivity. I ain't here to agree with any one person, and nor should anyone be. I'm here because I'm a Collingwood supporter and I'll support whoever I want. But I won't be a blind Parocial cheerleader. Buckley has already failed dismally and Collingwood are today the joke of thecompetition?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Yeah! They were laughing their heads of in the members at the G on Saturday

And game against Melbourne was played 6 weeks after we fell out of contention for the finals yet again so it means very little to our club. It's 2018 that matters when you're out of contention

Happy with Bux being head coach and will be happier if he gets a better support crew around him.

Recruiting/trading needs to be spot on this year.

I am content that a decision has now been made. Whether it's Bux coaching or someone else I really don't care either way. All I want to see is team success. Now, reappointing Buckley does not in any way change the quality of the playing list we have. It is an ordinary list that plays it's guts out and still cannot win more than 9.5 games per season. That should tell us all something. We are not good enough. Our list is the problem and resigning the coach does not instantly fix that. We will still be battling to win 12+ games in the next 2 years to make finals. Our list needs improvement and it will take longer than that.

Why our list has been allowed to deteriorate so far over the past 6 years is what needs to be uncovered. If the review has answered that question then I am thankful that we may now move forward with solutions, but the past 6 seasons has been a disaster and there was no need for it to happen. It did not need to happen and it was overseen by Bux. Many supporters cannot forgive this and I do not blame them. 2018 has to see a challenge for finals even if we fall short, we cannot be 5-10 and out of the race so quickly.
