This time it's different. This was an absolute disgrace. Utterly unacceptable.

Me too. Check both our records. Didn't wanna spoil Neil Danniher's party. That was terrible. F$ck the fine Bucks, let rip in your presser.

Play those leeches once a year, in August. Over it.

Worst umpiring QB cheatfest since 2007 - or was it 2008? Or most likely both

Me three. I've been following the Pies for over 5 decades and I have seen seen such a disgusting performance by the umpires, who completely destroyed our momentum time and time again and simply gifted the game to Melbourne.

When the game is on and the players are going hard in close the umpires usually put the whistle away, let the game go and don't pay tiggy touchwood holding the ball decisions.

Today they did the reverse.

In a 4 point game you'd be an idiot if you didn't think it made a difference.

Daniher factor. I love the bloke. But they wanted a Dee's win for him.

I don't remember one dragging it in free kick against them. It was stuck in packs so many times. How can we be the only team dragging it in?

I would love an explanation why the umpires sometimes immediately blow the whistle for a ball up and other times wait for a disposal before paying a HTB in the exact same circumstance?

Because they're Collingwood hating cheats and they can get away with it.
Only a progressive game plan and player genius from Didak, Shaw, Thomas, Harry, Pendlebury, etc. finally got us a flag. Need to work too hard to take a lead and maintain it. See the 2011 GF in the second quarter the amount of free kicks Geelong received in the centre square immediately after we'd kicked a goal to get them cheap easy inside 50s. It's laughable.

I don't buy it, some weeks we win the free kick count today we lost by 4. Surely, we don't want to be a team that needs the rub of the green to win. Complaining about bad umpiring is like complaining about life not being fair. It is a futile exercise.

A poor third quarter is what cost is the game, not the umpires. Tired players backing up from WA game gave their all with some quality players missing. A close loss not the end of the world I would have thought.

The main reason why the AFL and its machine hasn't received a red penny from me in years.

It was 19 frees to us and 23 to them.
Hardly a great difference.
I thought the umps were fine.
Some missed at the end but they let the game flow for
most of the match.

Totally agree, yes we made mistakes but not only were Melbourne gifted soft free kicks but blatant ones were missed to us!
