Philly I said a couple weeks ago if we didn't have to give any trade picks of relevance and we didn't have to pay him his current salary then he would be worth a thought just to protect Moore and let us go to ththe draft and look for another big man to be his longterm partner
I would be happy with 2yrs at $350k
I'm guessing though he might attract Some interest from the likes of the Melbourne or Richmond who think there in premiership contention just needing a big forward/relief ruck |

I said before the season started that Tippett was a dud and nothing that has transpired up to this point has changed my mind. |

Like Dermie?
Yeah because we went so well in 1995 when he was with us.
Nope, I don't think Tippett will even get a contract next year, anywhere. |

Only if Grundy leaves and Sydney pay a large percentage of his contract. No use for Tippet otherwise as he plays his best footy in the ruck. |

In what world would you mention Dermie and Tippett in the same sentence.
No ability, no awareness and definitely no football knowhow.
Having said all that, we'll probably go after him. _________________ Jatsad - That is all |

I'd take him if he was going stupidly cheap. He's better than Cox and White by a fair margin _________________ Brown re his GF omission:

Sav Rocca's career-best year ring a bell?
But on the original subject, no. Tippett is finished. _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Given were paying 500K over 4 for Mayne (reportedly); I would suggest those are serious unders.
That being said, he is worth a look certainly, depending on if you want to keep playing Moore as second ruck _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

I want us to use draft picks to go after a young KP forward, not trade for a 30 yr old.
having said that, if we got him cheap in terms of trade and on a salary we could live with, I wouldn't say no.
I'll be interested to see if we go for Levi Casboult as an unrestricted free agent. Can clunk the ball and his kicking has improved. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I wish some posters were as positive or " complimentary " about out of form Pies players as they are about Tippett.
His four years at the Swans have been a disaster. His finals games have generally been abysmal and he has also been injury prone throughout his career.
At least with a guy like Casboult or Reid, they are still showing a bit in 2017.
Tippett has shown absolutely nothing. |

This is the approach we need to take. Go to the draft with our top 10 pick, get that missing piece extra key forward, while buying in Reid or Casboult as a placeholder.
