Year or 2.
Just to stabilize the team.
After that ...wouldn't have a clue. |

I'd welcome being on Prozac compared to having a defence that looks about as organized as someone on ice.... I think rebuilding our game from clearance and defence up is the right strategy, and Roos seems to be good at this. We have complained about forwards a lot, but in fact it was the failure of our vaunted minds to hold theirs, and the turnover machine in defence (Maynard and Langdon, though Howe is also a serial offender) that has cruelled us for the last few weeks. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

So no interview process or selection committee? Nothing? Just another Ed's pick? |

You do realise our backs have had not ONE huge score kicked against us, our worst loss is 6 goals, we are one of the very few teams that have NOT been smashed. Even the top ladder Crows lost by 13 goals, and the Tigers have lost by 12 goals twice, our Defenders have done a sterling job. its our erratic Forwards who have let us down badly, this season. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Paul Roos on MMM has just denied talking to Eddie on a possible stop over back from Europe in Hawaii... and said he wasn't interested in the 'Collingwood' job, at this point, again he feels its not right to talk about a spot which isn't vacant as of yet. _________________ All Aboard!! These are the four if we don't land someone with senior XP.
-John Barker, Stuart Dew, Adam Kingsley and Dean Solomon
Personally id like to see one of Kingsley or Dew and in that order. _________________ No Pressure, No Diamonds

So if we fail to land a Roos type and have to appoint somebody fresh and new to senior coaching.....what is your hesitations with the credentials and experience of Kingsley and Dew mr eye roll.
We cant replace Buckley with fresh air.

Personally my view would be in the absolutely minority here but that has never stopped me posting before so here goes.
1. I would sign Bucks up for two years today because I think he is on the cusp of building a very good team although the results don't show the extent. However most of the losses have been "reasonably close", like no loss over 100 points etc.
2. IF we are to change coaches, I don't ever see the benefit of appointing yet another coach without senior experience at AFL level.
3. I would always continue to be a Collingwood fanatic irrespective of who they appoint as coach (IF they DO replace Buck's) and I can’t for the world of me understand these posters who pray for losses because they have an hidden agenda of continuing to make Buck's season coaching record as bad as possible to align with and to justify their views of replacing him.
4. I live in country Bendigo and I heartily agree with your view of fresh air! However I let others breathe as they see fit and not my role to interfere in their breathing business. My regular catch phrase is "to each their own"
5. If all else fails and as a very last resort, look only for a coach with senior experience under his or her belt, NOT yet another rookie coach. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination.
