Be honest - which of you think Cloke out and Mayne in was a clever move?

I would be surprised if you had a seconder for that motion.

Cloke out, most agree and understand why.

Mayne in - why ? why? why?

In AFL evolution, I traded Mayne back to Freo and then he won the Brownlow.

There's not even a teensy-weensy bit of schadenfreude in me. I guess I feel somewhat vindicated that he's having the same issues at the new club that he had at the Pies, only because I didn't want to hear the peanut gallery blaming Bucks if Trav found form elsewhere. After round 2, our detractors already got carried away with him.

I think many of us on here thought that the Bulldogs was the worst choice of trade for Travis. I saw this day coming in the trade period. Strangely he left Collingwood where there is less competition for spots. Travis has a limited bag of tricks but I still think he's got a bit of footy left in him. I re-watched the Round 23 game from last year and that's what he needs to produce every week.

Im with you except he hadn't really done much even in the first 2 rounds. Certainly not what you'd expect from an experienced key forward.
Like many, I think travs problems always been between his ears. I dont buy the fitness argument last year, I saw him pre season running and keeping up with the midfield group.
One thing though, the Cloke boys all seem to drop off in form and output very quickly. I remember thinking Jason would play for 10 years plus. Almost over night he was not good enough.

Cloke gone from the Pies - Good Move.

The recruiting of Mayne for an extended contract on big money? Certainly not a winner so far and unlikely to be in the future. This could also have some adverse impact on our salary cap and the recruiting of a big name in the future. The whole deal makes little sense and from its inception had little upside. It is claimed that this was one of Gubbys. WTF??

Cloke is cooked, accept it, and move on.

Will always be a CFC hero. Recently watched some games from 10-11. Awesome.

If only he could kick straight ... sigh

Isn't that typical. Smile

(OFF TOPIC - Is the game any good? I've been tempted but the clips look a bit ordinary.)

Sorry to get off topic. But yeah its.... ok.

I've been trying to get all the trophies, but the novelty wears off pretty quickly. NHL17 on the other hand...

well he has 6 goals this year from 5 games and the hobbit has 3 goals from 6 games.
Nothing to boast about from either player but Cloke does average more than twice as many goals than the hobbit.
So that is food for thought.

Take your point, but for the sake of 3 more goals across 6 games Cloke exerts negligible forward pressure compared to Bilbo. I also suspect that the goals per minute spent in the forward line would equalize the numbers a lot as Blair plays up the ground far more than Cloke.

Doubt that either player would make us top 8 material, atm

Cloke has also been rucking in and spending time on the bench so those numbers may not be that much if any more than Blair at all

A more interesting comparison is to his replacement as no1 forward, Darcy Moore. He has 13 goals from 11 games so a similar output but after 5 games had just the 3 goals and boy did people get upset if there was ever any suggestion of dropping him!

He has come good now, but even then a great game from Darcy is getting 2 or 3 goals out of him...
