Someone find the thread about when we selected him in the draft and compare the comments. Cost us basically nothing and a solid replacement for N Brown.

I was filthy that we recruited him. The club was right, I was wrong. I guess it's just a pity he probably only has a couple of years left. Nevertheless, an inspired recruiting decision.......unlike the Chris Mayne debacle. Crying or Very sad

Btw, I can't remember the last time we had 3 defenders kick goals in a game - Smith, Maynard and Howe.

Or 5 players in a shampoo commercial.

Still early days of course, but Mayne is proving to be the only flop in our off-season recruiting so far.

Wells looks competent provided he stays injury-free, Hoskin-Elliott has cemented a regular spot in the team and Dunn has been much better than expected.

Heard his voice from 30 rows back today.
He is one serious general.
Brings a bit to the table in all areas of the game.

Mayne was always insurance for Elliot. Expensive - yes. However he does provide some cover. Obviously not the same otherwise he'd be playing and kicking 3 or 4 each week.

He sure does. Already our defensive general.

Another solid performance today.

I continue to be impressed by his vocal leadership in the defence as well.

Thought he was outstanding today. Tried to fit both him and Goldsack into my votes, but thought Smith and Elliot were just a bit better.

I gave him a vote, was excellent. It always pisses me off that votes tend to go to players who get a lot of the ball, whereas solid back men and forwards get little reward for playing a more difficult role. Dunn, Elliott and Goldsack were all in the votes today, for mine.
