Like what he brings. Hardness, accountability, good kick. Forwards have to beat him no matter how the ball is coming in. Wakes played until he was 34 and was very dependable.

His only blemish was the shampoo ad. Even the great man Didak lowered his colors in that one. Mind you, it is on the career highlight reel of Matty Lokan.

Agree - like his leadership down back. He is in similar mould of Maxwell in that area - always yapping and watching for holes - a real backline general that we have had missing since Maxwell retired.

Absolutely. He usually makes sound first option decisions, which are everything back there.
Watching him play the last couple matches, the only surprise to me is that he wasn't in the seniors earlier.

You'll all note how strong he is, not easily bumped off the marking contests.

Looking forward to the QB clash; could be some venom...

I was confounded that he took so long to get into the team.

Love the post Cam. Only wish Lynden was 26 years old like Wakelin was when he arrived at Pies.

Even at this late stage of his career, he is proving to be a marked improvement on Nathan Brown imo.

Btw, I can't remember the last time we had 3 defenders kick goals in a game - Smith, Maynard and Howe.

Lynden's kicking is exceptional, his leadership excellent and doesn't get flustered.

Really liked his game against Hawthorn. In fact he played better than Schade who took his place the first few games. Schade is NQR. In time it might work out for him but at the moment Dunn is more reliable and the more consistent footballer.

He is definitely an upgrade on N Brown. He defends just as well as Browny, but he contributes a lot more and his disposal is deadly.

Did a great job on Roughhead who usually kicks a couple on us, always has a crack.

Agree with others that he should have been in the team from round 1.

He's one of the most vocal players in the team and an experienced leader for a relatively inexperienced defensive unit.

Agree with all comments. Was not impressed when I heard we got him but that has now changed.
