I'd have Greenwood tagging Beams or "Zorco the Magnificent". This allows Broomhead to go to half forward.

Good luck to Scharenberg.

Hopefully it's the beginning of a long career at Collingwood.

+1 . Right on Swoop. Best of luck to Herr Von Scharenberg

Is that AFL average? I would say that 80% of players in the AFL are 'average' - at AFL level of course.

Not sure how we can tell just yet. He hasn't played enough games. But needs to start making an impact, granted.

Very interesting that it was Broomhead for Aish. Aish has been playing behind the ball and Broomy is a mid/forward. So, we are one short in our back 7 rotation compared to last week. Thus, are we going to try Broomy as a rebounding defender or is one of the mids going to play behind the ball?

I doubt Broomhead would play as a defender.

Possibly Adams to go behind the ball. But I'm not sure how I feel about this, as his contested ball and hard running was a large part of our comeback last week.

Likewise I would hate to see Adams behind the ball. We have already experimented with Pendles behind the ball with mixed results. Not sure I would like that either. Would be shocked if Broomhead were to be played as a rebounding defender...surely we are striving to develop his ability as a crumbing forward? Maybe we are planning to play a more aggressive set up against Brisbane, and perhaps don't think the ball will go down to Brisbane's f50 as often, so we don't need the same 7 rotations in our back half?

I, too doubt that Broomy will play as a defender. However, it wouldn't be the dumbest idea. He reminds of Jake Lloyd from the Swans, who started as a mid/forward and has now moved to defence. Lloyd is quick, uses the ball well and gives the Swans a lot of rebound from defence. We have been looking for an excellent rebounder since Heater left and Broomy has attributes that could make him good in this role.

WHE played back in the second half against Geelong when Varcoe did his hammy, so he is an option. Wells has played there in the past for North. Sidey, Pendles and Adams have played behind the ball for us before. So, maybe we will rotate our mids through half back and try and free them up as a loose man in defence.

The other possible scenario is that there is a late change and Ramsay comes in.

I'm expected WHE to play off the half back line and Broomhead to play up forward, but you never know what Buckley has in mind. I'm not expecting Greenwood to tag either; more likely he'll play as a leading forward. Buckley is tempting fate playing such a small side. We should still beat Brisbane easily. The real test comes up the following week against Freo.

Completely exposed to the elements in 35c. Have been there since the first game the Pies played after the Ponny was opened.
