Post subject: Champions League Final 2017: Juventus v Real MadridReply with quote

The European Champions League Semi Final ties are now completed as Juventus and Real Madrid have advanced to the Champions League Final for 2017 marking the second time they'll be playing each other in the final after Real Madrid narrowly beat them in the final in 1998.

Juventus are vying for their third Champions League Final victory, last winning the final in 1996 against Ajax. Juventus last made the final in 2015, losing to Barcelona 3-1. Juventus have been runners-up the most times in the competition losing in 1973, 1983, 1997, 1998, 2003 and 2015.

Real Madrid will be seeking to win their second Champions League final in a row and their third in the space of four seasons after defeating Atletico Madrid last year. In total, Real Madrid is now attempting to extend their Champions League record at the top as they are vying for a 12th UCL title.

Road to the Final:

Juventus:

Group Stage:
Match 1 - Juventus 0-0 Sevilla
Match 2 - Dinamo Zagreb 0-4 Juventus
Match 3 - Lyon 0-1 Juventus
Match 4 - Juventus 1-1 Lyon
Match 5 - Sevilla 1-3 Juventus
Match 6 - Juventus 2-0 Dinamo Zagreb

Knockout Stage:
Round of 16 - Juventus 3-0 FC Porto (over two legs)
Quarter Final - Juventus 3-0 Barcelona (over two legs)
Semi Final - Juventus 4-1 AS Monaco (over two legs)

Real Madrid:

Group Stage:
Match 1 - Real Madrid 2-1 Sporting CP
Match 2 - Borussia Dortmund 2-2 Real Madrid
Match 3 - Real Madrid 5-1 Legia Warsaw
Match 4 - Legia Warsaw 3-3 Real Madrid
Match 5 - Sporting CP 1-2 Real Madrid
Match 6 - Real Madrid 2-2 Borussia Dortmund

Knockout Stage:
Round of 16 - Real Madrid 6-2 Napoli (over two legs)
Quarter Final - Real Madrid 6-3 Bayern Munich (over two legs)
Semi Final - Real Madrid 4-2 Atletico Madrid (over two legs)

This match will be taking place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday June 3 2017 with the kick off time being at 19:45 BST. What are your predictions for this match? Will Real Madrid go back-to-back or can Juventus breakthrough after 21 years?

For a team boasting Buffon, Tardelli, Ferrara, Gentile, Pesotto, Cabrini, Baggio, Deschamps, Vialli, Rossi and Zidane, and with Del Piero on the bench to bring on when there is nothing to play for anymore, that seems cheap to me.

Seriously, Juventus will win 1:0. Platini will score from a free kick from 23 yards, on the right of the box, after 7 minutes. Then Ronaldo will have the ball for the rest of the match and will feign penalty after penalty before being red-carded for diving in the 94th minute.

Baggio and Vialli were well held in this morning's game. After Del Piero scored from the spot early, the Hungarian Horde took over. Juve 1, Real 4.
