Don't forget Aish ! Scharenberg went 6, Lions took Aish at 7. We got him later with some trade manipulation to make up for the Freeman debacle. Funnily Cripps went 11 or 12 I think.

Well you can manage the list or you can keep doing what we are doing, either way we will probably achieve the same results.

Aren't we looking at pick 4 after the weekend? Rapidly approaching pick 2?

Yep, it's 1999 all over again.

Tank, and tank hard. Play the kids, send players out for season ending surgeries early, etc.

I doubt we can get pick one, but every win we have from now on will actually cost us at the end of the year.

We need a top 3 pick to get a key forward in the draft, and also to ensure we get the easiest draw possible next season.

We are bad enough to finish Bottom

I would not count out Either Aish or Schranberg quite yet

We have 1 X first round, zero second round, 1 X third round, 2 X fourth round and 1 X fifth round.

The way we are going, we could pick up Callum Coleman - Jones from south Australia. Probably the best U18 K P F or ruck / forward that isn't connected to an academy. Victorian Jaidyn Stephenson is up there too.
Google them !

Is there still a priority pick rule?

Nope.

Abolished a few years back, although the Commission still reserves the right to award one to a club that has done poorly at the bottom of the ladder for a sustained period...

Even then they have only been awarding end of 1st round.

The Lions will receive a selection immediately after the first round — currently pick number 19 — under the league's special assistance rules.

Unless you count the FA compo Melbourne got when they lost Frawley which was a PP disguised as compo.

Should of only got an end of 1st round at best but landed pick 3.

Yes. As it stands pick 4.

Ladder finish determines initial order minus compo picks.

*shakes off his depression*

Shadow me: "Phew! That was a close call! But the next two games are 8 point games, that number one pick can be ours, but they are crucial, must lose ones!"

Real me: "We must beat the Hawks purely to prove we can do it! We owe them! And we still owe the Brions!"

Shadow me: "Nah, let's get #1."

Knowing us we will trade our first rounder and next year's first rounder for Josh Kelly and forget about the KPP we desperately need.
