These two guys if they get on song together in same match are going to rip the heart out
of a side
They alone could damn near kick a winning score---all Betts are off when our bouys hit town _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

And Hoskin should be included in that.
With Crocker Kirby and Daicos putting the pressure on we are probaly the wealthiest team with the small/medium forward types _________________ Gavin Brown.. Collingwood lifting..Right on the boundary line, back to Milane likewise... DAICOS nearly runs out of room........ GOAL |

Do not be surprised if Dunn comes in to free up Reid or Howe forward as a tall marking target. _________________ All We Can Be |

Ben Reid |
too fragile and much much too important down back. he is the bail out option for nearly all of them. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

If we are going to play another tall in the forward line (and I'm not convinced its necessary) then Reid is the obvious choice. I don't think any of Cox\Howe\Keeffe\? are capable of making an impact in the forward line.
I agree that Reid's best position is in defence but maybe Scharenberg has the skills and smarts to step up and take over the role that Reid is currently playing to free Reid to move forward. _________________ Side by side. |

that is a fair observation. scharenberg wont be able to play on the power forward like Reid does, but in every other respect, he would appear capable to play the Ben Reid Role. He is another who projects that "just get it to me and we will be able to clear the ball from the backline" ability. I wonder if we can even dream of getting him to play that role with aplomb this year or whether it will take an entire season of footy before he resumes that way.
In Phili, the 76'ers have a player who has suffered a similar fate to Scharenberg. the team is saying "trust our process". Joel Embiid, the guy in question now calls himself "THE PROCESS". He played half a season (his fourth) this year and looks to be amazing. Hopefully Scharenberg can also recover to be the answer down back for us. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

The Faz is a down hill skiing, non-clutch arrogantly selfish footballer whom should be traded to a dumb club like Freo for a pick in the 20's. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

there are many highly successful players throughout history who have made significant contributions to premiership teams who could be described as downhill skiers (and arrogant and selfish). Pretty sure KB played 400 games in that same vein and won a few premierships.
The problem with being too critical of this is that by definition, downhill skiing means you are on a winning team. I will take a selfish arrogant forward who can kick 5 goals on a winning football team week in week out!!!! Faz is that dude. Nothing worse than a team that is capable of winning, but cant get the ball in the hands of an arrogant selfish downhill skier who can finish off the play with a goal and a strut!!!!
Keep him deep in the square for mine and let him work his magic 5 times a game in each of our wins!!!! it makes up for the other guys who work their asses off getting it to him but couldn't kick a goal to save themselves. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |
