Dunn, 31 disposals from full back. Confused

Interesting stat, since he looked to me to be completely thrashed, outclassed and too slow for the VFL.

I only saw the first half on TV, but seriously, Daics is ready for senior footy. The kid is tough, fast, smart and silky. Seriously, I recall his old man suggesting that Josh had better skills than he did at the same age, and I thought he was just talking up his kid, but he may be right. Young Daics is pure silk. I guess Broomhead is keeping him out of the seniors atm, but regardless, it won't be long before Daics gets a game. The kid is an absolute gun.

Yes, he should play on Anzac Day. He clearly has everything required and is not going to reach his potential playing seconds footy.

Wells needs at least another week in the two's I reckon. His fitness ain't there yet. Scharenberg could come in when required and I'd be giving Josh Daicos an ANZAC Day debut. His nouse and skills are first rate.

16. C. Mayne: slowish start but built onto the game well. 2 goals 3 behinds was an indicative performance. Wouldn't bring back in.

Old Collingwood hater Jack Dyer had a saying: "ratbags to the backline"

This club has successfully moved Morwood, Picken Abernethy, Reid and Howe to the backline. Isn't it time that not very good forward Chris Mayne went there and stayed there.

He's way too slow to play as a backman, IMO.

I feel sorry for Mayne. He was lured to us on a massive salary, but now he's here I honestly can't see him getting a senior game. He is not a bad player, but he is not a great player. The players ahead of him for senior selection would be Wells, De Goey, Daics, Wills and Dunn. So unless there's a few injuries, being sixth in line is about where he stands. Why on earth Gabby Allan thought he was worth $500,000 a year for 3 years is beyond me? This is going to hamstrung our salary cap for the next 3 years.

McLarty before Coming off Really Impressed Me before going off Hurt. Took some good 1v1 Marks and Intercepted Marks. Moves very well for a 197cm Kid and Uses the Ball well. Also looks to make Great Decisions with the Ball in Hand.

Really Like the Look of Him

I'd say the contract is front loaded. He's probably getting 650 this year, 500 next and then 350 in the last.... or something like that. Regardless, I've no
Idea why we got this guy in the first place
