The first Aussie to hit off was Rod Pampling. He's 1 under after 3 holes.

Adam Scott called the course "almost unplayable" and he's not alone on strokes over par but ... Charley Hoffman finished with 5 birdies on the second 9 holes to be on -7 and William McGirt is 3 under.

Luck started 6 over and finished 6 over. Day crashed to 6 over after getting it to even par.

Forgot to mention: Hoffman hit a 3 over to be equal leader on 4 under.

That puts Scott right in it.

Luck has slipped to be 8 over after 8 holes.

Scott is -3 and 3 strokes behind the leaders, Rose and Garcia. Day is on +3.

Leishman and Luck are on +9.

Best of the Aussies: Adam Scott finished = 9th. on -2. Jason Day finished on +2.

Sergio Garcia won, in a playoff with Justin Rose.
