We should bite the bullet, sack Buck immediately and tank, this and next. |

The thing people seem to forget quite easily is we had 5yrs on compromised drafts due to the Suns & GWS.
We didn't have the access to loads to top end talent and had to go about it differently than we could have normally.
I'm not saying this is the reason but it is a factor.
Personally I think we've wasted our first round draft picks for the 8-10yrs. There's not 1 who remains on our list anyone could say is a star right now.
Yes the Sidey supporters will come out screaming and yelling but after last night do you really want to argue he's a star ? At around 170 games and still making the same errors he did in year one is unacceptable. 8 kicks last nit 5 missed targets no scoreboard involvement other than the goal he missed from 20m out and he layed 1 tackle only. We need our leaders to really be standing up and leading the way. First half last week he was dynamic this week nothing of any positive for the team. If you want to look at comparisons round 1 he had 35 touches and gained 412m for the team Martin had 33 touches gained 782m for his team (both Treloar and Pendles gained over 500m in the first round as well)
He's at his best a very good player but his best is spasmodic and comes way to seldom.
Moore has potential but isn't a star and at his current rate of development is a ways off. His kicking seems to have gone backwards.
Scharenberg can't even get on the field and hasn't shown anywhere near enough to even warrant a senior game
Freeman is gone and still hasn't played a single game of AFL
DeGoey is far from being a star and if the rumour mill is right has major behavioural issues. He hasn't yet had a game you could describe as sensational he's been solid a some and below par in many others
Treloar we gave up 2x top 10 picks for and right now that's way over. Getting 35 touches is great but when your going at 55-60% effeciency means nearly half are wasted. He hits the scoreboard some time but he's far from a certainty. He runs well forward of the ball but not so good the other way
Grundy is the exception to this his game has come on leaps and bounds since the bye last season. He's been in our best 5-8 players every game since then and last night was probably our best
There's chances all these players can improve but I only see Moore and Treloar who have the potential to be better than good players.
Who ever comes in as coach will have to make some hard calls on a few players and see if we can't get ourselves into the draft in a good position to grab some real talent |

It'll depend on who we get in the end, but at a guess all bets will be off anyone could get traded for a long term success program |

The question remains though. Anyone with foresight would tell you that rebuilding through the compromised draft period was doomed from the outset.
Collingwood, Buckley and Hine decided that and have confined the club to misery. |

Yes the Sidey supporters will come out screaming and yelling but after last night do you really want to argue he's a star ? last night he was bloody terrible, looked like he didnt care either, lost that trademark grin, At around 170 games and still making the same errors he did in year one is unacceptable. 8 kicks last nit 5 missed targets no scoreboard involvement other than the goal he missed from 20m out and he layed 1 tackle only. Moore has potential but isn't a star and at his current rate of development is a ways off. His kicking seems to have gone backwards. he needs the support of big experienced forwards around him - not cox, hes useless, maybe him in betwee White and Howe , right now hes just getting pummeled, and his confidence looks shot
Scharenberg can't even get on the field and hasn't shown anywhere near enough to even warrant a senior game i dont even recognize him!!
