Weather might be a key factor in tonight's game.

The BoM says the forecast for the rest of Thursday is:

Melbourne area
Partly cloudy. Slight (30%) chance of a shower.
Winds south to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h becoming light in the late evening.

Present temp at Olympic Park is 16.4C (apparent, or 'feels like', temp is 14.3).

Overnight the temp is forecast to drop to 11C.

Looking at the rain radar map, there are isolated storm cells scudding across Port Phillip Bay from the south-west. If they do cross the MCG during the game the rain might be heavy, but it won't last too long. The ground of course will remain wet and slippery (as it probably is already before the game).

EDIT: Blair is a mudlark. Might have a good game.

Don't Win this and the Pressure on Bucks be Huge

Agreed Dave, lose this one,and I may have to join my mate in Iceland, get away from Nicks, dunno if I can handle 24 hrs of darkness though ! Seriously, we MUST WIN this, its a very vital game, we have the swannies next week, up at their putrid little shithole, be a big ask to win that one if we lose this.

Anyway, I'm hoping against hope, Pies by 16 points, in a close and scrappy game. Just win it. ! Exclamation

just recently pnc (like in the past 6 years) you haven't predicted a lose to
Collingwood in the pregame thread. not that theres anything wrong with that.

you sure about that mate, I'm pretty sure I have tipped against us, at least in some interstate games, like v west coast or crows, like even if we win tonight, I cant see us beating the swannies in sincity next week. If the swans lose to the dogs, cant see them dropping three on the trot, mores the pity. Confused

The G can handle a few showers without things getting too slippery

^Yes, the wee lad might well put in a blinder tonight, hes long overdue for one, so you never know, stranger things have happened. ! Just so long as we win, all that counts, in the wet, I still think Pies by 16 points. Go Woods !!

Can't remember him ever actually playing a 'blinder' but I hope he goes well and contributes to a big Pies win.

Heading off now. Still ridiculous that we're playing on Thursday night during a working week.

Same here.

Should have started the match at 7:50 rather than 7:20 if the AFL is going to schedule matches on Thursday nights.

C'mon Pies, please do this. Very very toey right now. Amazing how many have jumped on Tigers bandwagon, completely forgetting they played the filth, who according to almost everyone are sheizenhaus.

We play reigning premiers, really should have beaten them bar a 10-15 minute spell where we went to the bar. Hoping for a 4 quarter effort tonight.

Surely Moore couldn't have two falcons again could he? Surely Fas couldn't miss two sitters again could he? Surely Treloar couldn't be in our worst 4 in the first quarter could he?

Bring it. Go Pies. Pies by 25.
