It may have been missed with all the excitement over the Buckley reappointment
Trelaor and Howe have both made the 40 man all Australian squad
Kudos to both players well deserved honour
Howe has been a rock in our defence all season and his high flying exploits are only part of what he brings
Treloar has looked hampered by injury for some time but his ability to still impact games can't be under estimated
Thought maybe Grundy or Adams were outside chances but I'm sure there time will come especially Grundy

Treloar hasn't even been our best midfielder this season.

Maybe that's harsh, but I'd have Adams, Pendlebury and Sidebottom just ahead.

I guess he is the flashiest with his line breaking runs every second game.

Thought Grundy would have been a chance for ruck.

Congratulations to both.

Howe is surely a lock at half back in the starting 18. Sensational season from a modern day half back flank.

Its probably a credit to Treloar for making this squad. I don't think his year was as good as the last and that may have been curtailed by a mid season injury. Despite this he is still being recognised. Onwards and upwards.

Yeah, I'd take Adams before Treloar at least this year. Reckon Grundy was a bit stiff, he was neck and neck with Kreuzer and Ryder for me.

Should've at least been in the top 40.

Matthew Kreuzer - really?

Excellent news. Hope Howe makes it in particular.

He has to learn not to actually tackle opposition with the ball. No matter how long they take to get rid of it. He should just do something else like poke them in the eyes with a chopstick

Gee now I wonder what facet of his game attracted us to recruit him??

JEEZUZ not everyone is a slogger, every side needs some 'flashy' runners.

That said he was lucky to get nominated.

i dont think he was being critical of the flashy runs.

I think Treloar got rewarded for 2 seasons of great performances. Adams and Grundy will both make it next year if their form continues.

I would have Treloar before Adams. Adams is courageous, hard working and shows real leadership but he turns the ball over an awful lot for an elite player. Treloar is one of the most skilful players at the club. He is Pendlebury's heir as Pendles was Buckley's

Howe didn't make the team. Unbelievable. Then again, he's a Collingwood representative so maybe it is believable. OMG! He was an absolute walk up.

Just saw that Howe didn't make it. Wow. Just...wow. I thought he was an automatic selection TBH. Guess not.

^ I love the good things Howe does but his disposal is often terrible - among the worst offenders in an often criminal gang. That was probably why.
