Pendles stint on the sidelines presents a wide open scenario - in the Copeland and GB voting - with just 11 votes covering 1st. to 4th., in this award.

I was the same P4S I gave votes to Grundy and got the other 4 Collingwood players that the coache had. Don't know if it's a good thing we both agreed on the players (even though a different order)
Also in the voting you might want to check your addition Sidey had 35 votes last week add 7 I got 42 votes not 38 but that's just me lol

Thanks, mate - even I'm starting to understate Sidey's value to the team. How about that?

Of the leaders, Dangerfield 0.

Martin is heading for votes in the Tigers/Hawks match. So is Mitchell.

Although Martin had 32 disposals, Caddy, Prestia and Roughead had better stats.

Similarly, Mitchell had 35, but 7 players out AF-ed him.

So, the votes were:

Coach 1
5 Adams
4 Sidey
3 Treloar

Coach 2
5 Treloar
4 Adams
3 Langdon

Ziebell got a 2 and a 1, Crisp got a 2 and De Goey got a 1. It is impossible to say which coach awarded which of those 2s and 1s but there is only one possible combination for the 5s, 4s and 3s.

Makes the Copeland interesting with Grundy now out for 2 and Pendlebury is now shot.

^^^^
The Copeland is a open race and will depend on how far Pendles was in front before he was injured.
Adams coming with a late surge but will it be enough
Has Treloar been consistent enough through out the year to be close enough to Pendles to win his first Copeland
Grundy will still poll well but can't win it
Howe might be a smokey for a minor place
Sidey is a perennial place getter generally finishing a fair way from the winner or runner up but could he finally crack it for a win
Right now I would think Pendles would still be leading but by a small margin from Trelaor with Adams & Sidey further back with Grundy and Howe fighting it out for the last spot on the award platform
If Pendles doesn't win his 6th Copeland it will only be because of injury but I guess he can't win them all

No, every so often, they give one to a talentless hack like Beams.

I get why your cranky mate. Beams comes in at pick 29 and from the beginning gets all the headlines and kudos.
He wins nomination in the rising star when Sidey didn't but hey that wasn't his fault yes he could have played poorly and given Sidey a chance but hey you should be equally cranky with Jaxson Barham or Brad Dick they also won nominations.
Yes I get your cranky and resorting to name calling because Beams won the best first year player at the club when you had hoped and prayed your guy might but hey he really wasn't in the running after all he was up against a rising star nominee and a player already slated as being a super star on the rise (read Swanny's book he refers to Beams as a super star on 7 different occasions yet doesn't use that phrase on your man)
You can't hold Beams responsible for his all Australian honours wasn't like he voted himself in that was done by a panel of experts and former players who recognise the true champions of the game.
You can't blame Beams for all his Brownlow votes it's not like he voted for himself all those times.
You can't blame Beams for winning a Copeland over Pendles and Swanny (both lauded champions of the game) heck all he was trying and succeeding in doing was having a year at that stage (2012) statistically speaking hadn't ever been achieved in the history of the game before
Was it any wonder why he finish top 5 in the afl coaches award top 5 in AFLPA MVP voting, won several TV and media awards for being the best player and then crowned it off with a top 10 Brownlow medal finish (unfortunately for him Swanny and Pendles also polled well or he may have added that award to his already bulging trophy cabinet)
When his career is over he may not have your respect but he will have 3 or 4 club best and fairest awards, a premiership ring (maybe a second if Brisbane come good), the accolades of from all his other individual awards, his $950k a year deal and be waiting his induction into the afl hall of fame ready to bestowed legends status.
It's ok mate Sidey will always have his place in history as being drafted in the same year as Beams and other champions like Sloane and Hannebury and when his old and sitting with his grand kids he can pull out his scrap book and show them photos of the days he shared the field with Beams and how they were once team mates
His grand kids will marvel that there little old grand dad was so fortunate to play along side a true legend of the game in Beams.
Heck he can take them down to the Holden centre and show the Beams name on the Copeland and tell them if it hadn't been for Beams Swan Pendles Trelaor Grundy Adams Moore and if there had been another 6 or so players who suffered season ending injuries he may have finished closer to winning a Copeland himself but alas it didn't happen

I think, generally speaking, that history remembers best the players who turn it on in Grand Finals. In that context, Beams isn't even fit to be mentioned in the same conversation as Sidebottom.

Do you think players like
Bob Skillton
Robert Harvey
Nathan Buckley
Tony Lockett
Matthe Richardson
Nick Riedwoldt
Paul Roos
Paul Kelly
Bernie Quinlan
Jim Stynes
Are remembered in the game ?
I think your clutching at straws trying to push Sidey's barrow to heights it hasn't and most likely won't ever reach
