How important are big forwards?

If you rely on big forwards to kick the goals, you lose in the modern game unless they're exceptional.

Good tall forwards in the modern game bring other players into the game and create goals and opportunities even if they aren't credited as goal assists.

I like Cox up forward because he can do the ruck work in the forward line, shows great game sense and it's improving with experience, and he creates a contest while drawing 2 key defenders.

We just need to use our resources.

I'm a fan too. We all saw how much more effective he can be if the small forwards can get to his feet at the F50 contests. Blair crumbed 3 times in the 1st quarter. Missed his 2x shots on goal and hand balled to Varcoe on the 3rd so we didn't make the most of the opportunities, but they were there nonetheless.
