For the benefit of Jackcass the following represent a small, crumbing forward type:
* Charlie Cameron
* Eddie Betts
* Cyril and Daniel Rioli
* Orazio Fantasia
* Steven Motlop
* Michael Walters
* Chad Wingard
* Lindsay Thomas
* Jeff Garlett
Still grasping the contention that Danny Stanley was small crumbing forward!! _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

In fairness to Jackcass I think he thinks anyone under 185 cm by definition can play the small crumbing forward role. |

Rather than just copying the cheaparsed schoolyard bully tactics employed by that other <snip>, citing my name like it's clever or insightful, try actually reading what I've posted and respond accordingly rather than big noting yourself posting about things you think I've said. |

Time to crawl back under your bridge. |
Some more players you mentioned from 2012 to 2015 who were specifically recruited and what recognized position that they played at their former clubs..
Broomhead …..midfielder
JDG ….midfielder/defender
Kennedy…midfielder/forward
Freeman …midfielder
Martin .....a hail mary pick
Dwyer...a hail mary pick plus he was a midfielder
Abbott ... a hail mary pick from the rookie list see above
Tom Phillips...drafted as a midfielder/forward and drafted at pick 58.
Varcoe... forward but has a goal kicking average of less than 1 goal per game and was often used in other positions.
Crocker... midfielder/forward and drafted pick 65
Smith...a hail mary pick from the rookie list plus he was recognized as a midfielder.
To sum up... not one player there was drafted as specific front and square specialist forward. |
Well aren't we the clever <snip>. Show me just where I've said they were drafted "as specific front and square specialist forwards". One day you'll concentrate on actually being right instead of the same tired bullying tactics that might have worked for you at school. |

Correct.
A player who has exceptional front and centre skills, has X factor and is very fast off the mark.
Marty Clarke, Sam Stanley and 99.9 percent of the players used to justify Hine's woeful record have none of those traits.

At the 2016 member's forum, Hine identified the need to recruit a small crumbing forward. Hence, the recruitment of Daicos and Kirby and to a lesser extent Brown. These players will take time, but for mine Daicos will be given a chance in this role at some stage in 2017.
In Hine's defence, the best small forward that he recruited in Brad Dick just couldn't take a trick with injury. Ben Kennedy a top 20 draft pick was earmarked to play this role, but it didn't work out. Tim Broomhead also a top 20 draft pick is also able to play this role, but also has not taken a trick with injury and hopefully he gets a run at in 2017' starting on Thursday night, to assist us in this area.
We have Elliott and Fasolo, but they are more marking small forwards than crumbling small forwards. Crocker is similar to Elliott and Fasolo. |

Just more of the schoolyard bullying rubbish.
Exactly the sort of sustained bullying that leads vulnerable people to self harm. The same bullying that is illegal under law. I'd have thought this sort of crap would be abhorrent enough to get someone banned but it seems the mods are all too tolerant so just carry <snip>.

Bucks said that Kirby is a long, long way off being AFL ready. He said he'd only been able to do about 40 % of the pre-season training. Reckon we might have to wait until next year to see him debut I'm afraid. |

I wouldn't rule him out for later in the year if he's managed early in the VFL and builds condition through the season. Think this kid could be special and those sort of players have a habit of putting themselves up for consideration. |

from your own mouth just in this thread'
1. Yeah, I don't get all the angst. Was one (Blair) of the few players consistently getting front and centre
2. And we seriously need to dredge up the full list of small forward types,
small forward type and front and square ...surely your talking about that traditional small forward role.
But then again Blair has that unique role ...a defensive forward. Maybe that is the genius of Hine.... recruiting weird players for strange roles. |

Of course, 2 disparate comments taken out of context = gotcha. Very clever. As I've said repeatedly, prove one of my comments is wrong when in context and I'll confirm your a genius rather than some moronic schoolyard bully looking for a target. Hint, your opinion being different to mine doesn't prove anything. |
