It's been an indictment on Derek Hine that since Leon retired, we've been stuck with Blair as a FP and not an indigenous FP with X Factor and tricks like Neon.

And we seriously need to dredge up the full list of small forward types, indigenous or otherwise, we've recruited over the last 10+ years to refute this sort of crap? Really?

Name them!! Not that many!

Yeah,,, has there been any front and square players recruited
But Hine is a genius.

You can do your own research and you'll clearly be pleasantly surprised.

Correct. Am sure Jackcass found a positive defence for Didak and Heath Shaw back in 2008!

The last indigenous forward we have drafted was Kirk Ugle in 2010 (bar Kirby last year).

I'm surprised Blair is picked week in week out because I don't believe that his contribution warrants automatic selection like we've seen over the last few years. If it weren't for injuries or a decent alternative then I seriously doubt that he'd get a game.

Is it me or is your statement a contradiction?

The second part of your contradiction is what i agree with.

His time will come. Sooner than later. When it does i will thank hm for his efforts as the club moves forward.

Kirby as long as he stays motivated gives every indication of being the crumbing forward we desire.

100% agree. He has the skills to pay the bills. His application is what will get him there.

Blair is a hard worker with no tricks and is merely a bckstop until Kirby and Daicos build a tank that enables them to play a full game in the seniors.

I think some of you guys are like frogs in a well stuck in deep mud.
Hope you one day get out of your constant backward looking predicament.
FFS, it is what it is. Waste of time debating what should, could and would have been. If your aunty had balls, she would have been your uncle. Shocked
I mean where does one stop? I could as easily talk about not getting John Kennedy as coach, Lockett, Quinlan, even bloody Ted Whitten among a host of others. How bloody boring to look back and sook all the time. Surely it’s much better to live for the moment and wish for the best in the future Rolling Eyes

Bucks on Kirby in his presser today - 'Kirby is a long way away. Positive signs in the VFL but he is still learning'

<snip>

Just the small forward types recruited under Hine:

2005 - Thomas, Stanley, Cook, Isles
2006 - Dick, Wellingham, Macaffer, Clarke
2007 - McCarthy, Barham, Dyas
2008 - Sidebottom, Beams, Rounds, Blair, Bennell
2009 - Sinclair, Thomas, Hunter
2010 - Krakouer, Fasolo, Ugle, Bolton, Cribbin
2011 - Elliott, Clarke, Mooney

And specifically those recruited after Leon retired:

2012 - Kennedy, Broomhead, Martin, Dwyer
2013 -
2014 - Varcoe, DeGoey, Abbott
2015 - Phillips, Crocker, Smith
2016 - WHE, Brown, Daicos, Kirby

Just go away and troll some other clubs site. Onto ignore for you.

^^^^^ ^^^^^

Pick just a few "utility" type players (who DID play forward in some games btw) and completely ignore the rest which totally destroyed your stupid point! You are a bloody joke dude. Twisted Evil Laughing
