Like Aish --always have and one of the in's at the expense of Cox
I thought Mason looked inadaquate against Doggies fast transition
but thats not to to say he gets corraled for many weeks
Feel the Aish clean hands added to Broomie could be better around the fwd 50 _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Excellent ins, some extra run coming off a 6 day break and the structure looks better balanced with one less tall.
Don't worry Rude, Broomy can play. We have missed his clean hands, correct decision making and excellent ball use and he will always in our best 22 when fit and ready.
Grundy 203cm v Nankervis 199cm. Brodie will do very well. They will use Griffiths as their 2nd ruck, so Jesse is a good match up for him.
Bring last week's effort and intensity and the result will look after itself. |

Just getting his name in there and giving the lad some encouragement that if he keeps putting his best foot forward he's in the mix. I'd LOVE to see him debut on ANZAC day. |
Just thinking. Did his Daicos junior's old man play his first game for Collingwood against Richmond. Anybody know? |
Was the Saints I think? |
yes, the saints. It was the game where we scored 30.21 and they were 2.11 , or around that score anyway. |
Apparently he had 26 touches and kicked 0.4. Not a bad first game! Round 4, 1979 according to http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/P/Peter_Daicos.html |
Thanks all. Well ifthe selection panel are sentimental tragics young Daicos will debut in Rnd 4 against St. Kilda. |

With respect to Josh Daicos, one of the reasons that he is named emergency is that we are running out of players that have the right physical preparation to be ready for AFL standard footy. The other reason is he is going to be a damn good footballer and should be in for Blair tomorrow night for mine.
We know the injuries that we have. Then there are the following:
- Scharenberg: played in the JLT and VFL practice matches, but has missed a lot of footy in the last 3 seasons, so probably needs 4-6 games in the VFL to get match fit
- Thomas and Keefe: missed 2 years of footy, see comments re Scharenberg
- Brown: just back from glandular fever
- Crocker: just back from injury, played in the VFL practice match last week
- Wills: not listed in the injury list now, but hasn't played a game at any level this season yet,
- Kirby: needs to work on his endurance and body shape.
So, we have a lot to look forward to this season when everyone is fit and firing. Let's hope the current 22 can get enough wins early in the season to capitalise on a) the return of the injured players and b) when the above-named are ready for AFL. |

its a long road back for broomy. he must of had a decent preseason
but you wouldn't know it because not much as been said about him
so far this year. I hope he's bulked up some what iirc he was easily
brushed of his running lines and therefore left chasing defenders almost
whenever the ball came near him. good luck Tim. _________________ no second chances |

A few games into some VFL talent over the next few weeks could change the landcsape
Early slow start does nt dictate your season as Tigers had a shocker yrs back and rattled in to flag calculations (and the with hardly a loss in 2nd half of season _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

White is a reasonable 2nd ruck and Moore can pinch hit in the ruck in our forward line as well if needed. Now we need our defenders to play smarter and not get sucked into playing too high up the ground and getting caught out of position, gifting easy goals to the opposition. I've forgotten if Broomhead can play or not, its that long since I've seen him, but by all accounts he's in the best shape he's ever been, so fingers crossed. Pies by 28 points! |
Broomhead can definitely play. The question mark is his lack of match play in the last month which might go against him in the second half. If the sub rule was still in I think he would have been the substitute. |

I wouldn't say he lied at all. He is allowed to change his mind or the selection panel have. In any case, they will play in the same side again this year. _________________ kymbo |

How does Blair still get a game after the crap he dished up against bullflogs? There must be a last minute change involving Blair or Buckley is surely a Hobbit lover. We've gone from too top heavy to a dwarf tossing competition! _________________ "Hey Ma get off the dang roof!" |

Richmond in securing Prestia and Caddy have added to the depth of there midfield and it will be another good test of our own.
While I hope we win comfortably I suspect they will be far from a pushover and we'll need to bring the same level of intensity as last week to win.
The changes were pretty predictable with only Daicos being named an emergency a surprise. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

just hope we can win this, by any margin, we must bring last weeks intensity and pressure, the tiges are not the doggies, so, logically, we should win well, but I err on the side of caution, Woods by 16 points. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.
