Watched The Club again last night just to remind me what a great President, not just a good President, actually behaved like. I couldn't help but wonder how much I wish we had a President like Ted.

From memory wasn't the Ted Parker character a tragic figure who sacrificed his own business to personally fund the recruitment of the Laurie character who's only interest was taking the money and smoking pot. Times have moved on since those days.

No Laurie was the coach played by Jack Thompson. Geoff Hayward was the player, played by John Howard.
