Lets not forget the trade deal orchestrated last trade season for Jack Frost to the Lions:

Brisbane: received Frost and pick 76 (Cloke pick from Bulldogs)

Collingwood: received Brisbane's Round 3 & 4 of 2017

Hopefully:

Like the pundits suggest, the Lions have another crap year and finish bottom 3 on ladder thereby forwarding us picks approximately:

* pick 40 & 59

Given we lose our 2017 2nd round pick for Hoskin Elliott, the Frost picks shall be a handy little Xmas present.

Which actually means we swapped Frost for a fourth round pick and (probably) a better third round pick.

And seriously,Frost was a give away. We got something and that's a win for us.He's one of the worst players I have ever seen at this level.I did watch the Brisbane game last time they played and he looks to have gone backwards in his ineptitude than when he played for us.Nothing has changed and I doubt it ever will.

What I did see was Dunne getting the footy and kicking it 60 mtrs and scoring a nine point goal,RATHER than get the ball ,stop, prop,turn around 3 times, run backwards and feint a hand ball and then lose it and then fall over.Dunne will be many times better than Frost AND Brown together.

Very wet behind the ears posters here. Surely you have to give a new player like Dunne (or anyone else) time to settle into a club, playing routine, team strategies and plans etc etc? Jeez Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Possibly so - but is he competent to play a key defensive position in an AFL team? Everyone knows Frost wasn't.

That I don't know at this early stage but we surely should give the Dunne and the club coaches a go to find out without dissing him already? Or are we at Nick's far more interested in getting in early instead of getting it right these days? Shocked Rolling Eyes

Hopefully he turns out to be competent, despite the evidence that Melbourne thought he was just about good enough to play in their reserves last year (4 senior games, 14 VFL games). He turns 30 in May. This will be his 13th season on an AFL list and his 12th season playing senior AFL - it'd be surprising if he suddenly became a star, now.

Let's once and for all clarify one thing:

"It's DUNN not DUNNE"

I think we have a formidable duo with Dunne and Keefe.

Maybe it's a spell-check/auto-correct thing? Mudlark quoted me and still got the wrong spelling. It must be the iPhone, surely?
