OP UPDATED

Seems that most are going to play this week; in either the final AFL practice match or the first VFL practice match.

Which leaves; Wells (1 week), Elliott (2 weeks), Sinclair (11 weeks), Crocker (TBC), with question marks over the Greenwood and De Goey omissions. I'm sure we'll know more about those two soon.

Dunno about Greenwood, P35, but De Goey is reportedly in rehab for both a toe complaint and a quad injury of some sort...

DeGoey BOG vs Essendon...now rumoured to miss the start of the season! Seriously, how can this many players get injured BEFORE the proper season has even started? So deflating. Again.

Can the person that keeps kicking Wells in the calf please stop it. Once, twice enough already.......

I wonder if it's the same person that kept nicking Reid's calves and quads the past few years, maybe they have been attacking poor Sinclair's hammies as well.

Every club has as many injuries as we do.... relax!

look at the Dogs, for example!

Bloke out for the season last game with an ACL, havent got a fit ruckman, Wallis out for a big chunk of the season, blah blah blah....

It's not just us.

But it's us every season...and we're too young and depth-less to cover injuries to our gun players.

Agree it is a real momentum killer, lets hope the lads can keep positive , it will be good to get Chop and Broomhead back , I really hope Jordy is ok!

Not according to him. he said he could have played but the medicos said if he could feel any niggle in it, better to rest it for round 1.

Elliott likely to miss round one (from the man himself).

I'd expect Jamie to be disciplined by the club for breaking ranks and actually telling the truth about an injury.

That's not the Collingwood way. Laughing

After returning from a back injury, an injured ankle at training keeps him out for a month+ including round 1 bs the reigning premiers. Unbelievable. He's already lost a month's block of preseason fitness now. Bloody hell.
