Better game than Blair who fumbled, muffed kicks, and got in the way of our talls all night.

same, i was in the ponsford and Mayne put real pressure on.

I thought it was an honest serviceable performance and something to build upon.

Mayne did a good job. He's never going to be a star, but applied plenty of pressure, got his hands on it and kicked truly for goal. Actually his goal kicking looks very reliable. I noticed it when he was doing his goal kicking during the warmups. A pity he's tagged as the $500,000 man, as that's not his fault. Otherwise, he'll be a good player for us.

Also led the team with a team high 23 pressure acts.
That's big numbers for a stay at home forward ( unless you're a Rioli )

Still looks a bit pedestrian to me. Would not really consider him in our best 22

Yep & a highly pressured tough kick for goal that was straighter than a One Nation Conference.

he had a poor game tonight its true, and he might be the guy to make way for Elliot, but he is an upgrade on Blair and you cant declare a recruit a mistake on the strength of one game. Let's see what happens as the season wears on. Often the kids start to struggle and the mature bodies work their way into it more.

Time for the reserves.

If Elliott gets through unscathed tomorrow, he'll replace him for the Saints match.
