Post subject: How hard to get tickets to SCG?Reply with quote

Hoping my fellow Nicksters can help out. Just heard that game tickets don't go on sale until the first week of March. I'm aiming to go to the Sydney game with a mate but not sure how easy/hard it will be to get a ticket.

Can anyone advise how they went getting tix last year? I don't want to book flights and accom and then not get a ticket. I'm no longer a member due
to a move interstate.

Any help
would be appreciated.
Cheers

The problem is not getting tickets, it is getting cheap tickets. There are always tickets to be had, but the later you leave it, the higher the cost.

For instance, last year's nightmare cost me $50 per ticket because I ummed and aared about going at all.

Write to the Collingwood supporters club and see if they can help you. One cheapie you might consider is restricted view. You can't see the scoreboard, but you can see the entire field, and sometimes they're available later.

Cheers for that. I certainly won't be delaying so no issue there! And given it's an interstate trip (and probably 1 of only 2 games I'll see live this year) I won't be too concerned with price but thanks heaps for the quick reply.

Arguably the worst $50 you've ever spent?
To have to witness Swan's injury, and that useless f*cking human training cone Cloke with his 0:0 donut stats at halftime.

I travelled up from Melbourne to see that match live! It was truly awful.

The club should have reimbursed you, and every other sucker Magpie fan who travelled across the border to witness that farce, with travelling costs and a full refund. On principal alone.

What I can't understand is why do they feel the need to sell tickets for the game at Moe.

Why can't people just turn up on the day, buy the ticket and if you turn up to late and the ground is full so be it.

It's a country football oval FFS, there are no premium, prime or standard areas to reserve and it strikes me as nothing more than a money making exercise for the ticketing company.

They should have reimbursed me for airfares, hotel accommodation costs, taxi fares and most importantly for the tickets that I purchased weeks before.

Watching the match on TV couldn't do justice on how bad that match really was. Absolutely horrific!

Wasn't the match in Moe originally announced as being in Morwell or am I dreaming?

From my experience last year, the away area was predominantly around Bay 2, 3, 4, 5 and 5A in the Dally Messenger Stand.

It could have changed though, so I'm not 100% sure about the current seating arrangements.
