^ No more so than that of many on the right in the US when Obama was given it. Personally, I couldn't care less � it'd be a stupid decision, but Trump wouldn't even be the worst recipient of it (Henry Kissinger most immediately comes to mind).

North Korea just doing the standard North Korea thing and Trump wasn't having it. When the other party starts insulting and threatening why would you still hold talks? It puts you in a position of weakness. Trump's letter cancelling the talks didn't close it down entirely, I suggest you read it before crowing and laughing.

The only thing that was going to scuttle the summit was if the Kim regime did their standard bellicose crap they pull every time they get a concession. This isn't Obama they're dealing with anymore. They tried to play Trump and failed.

It was the US who started the recent threatening when Bolton raised the prospect of a Libya style solution in North Korea.

Still only a fool would ever think this summit would lead to North Korea ultimately giving up there nuclear deterrent capability.

And let's not forget the thing that actually set NK off, which was the US doing a scheduled military exercise on the border, which Pyongyang interpreted as sabre-rattling. You'd think they could have postponed it, or something?

(In fairness, Trump's letter is remarkably reasonable.)

The fact that the Trump Regime failed to appreciate that NK�s observations were never sincere indicates an egregious diplomatic failure. Nothing new in that, though.
