There's the 50 partnership. Hazlewood has 1 of them. |

Aus versus India in India is the greatest test!!!
Bigger than the Ashes and all the rest.
I would have went with Cummins and stuff the spinners.
West Indies won there with the quicks.
Go with your strengths and not horses for courses as the Indian spinners are better than ours.
Can't wait until it starts. |
Take it from me dude, you will never win a series in India without at least two really good spinners. They eat pacies for breakfast lunch and dinner. |
Interesting Lazza it was the Indian quicks which did the damage in our first innings.
Can't see us getting more than 150 in our second innings on this pitch.
This means that the Indians would need 420 plus with 20 wickets in hand.
I think the Indians are in the box seat.
Need to win the toss every match to have any hope of jagging a win this series.
Warne never did much in India and I wonder how much damage our spinners will do in India.
Hope Lyon can make the ball bounce and spin. |

I hope so too thompsoc.
My opinion obviously but I would have definitely played Ashton Agar ahead of Hazlewood. Time will tell. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

It is an interesting one lazza.
Lyon has a bowling average of 37 runs per wicket against India.
He had one good match a few years back in Dehli where he took 7/94.
I reckon he needs a bit of bounce to get some wickets and this pitch looks like it has some bounce.
I just don't think our spinners are even close to theirs so with 3 spinners in our side we better have the batsmen do super well.
Bit worried about the Marsh boys, and in particular Mitch.
Need some more Vics in there!!!!
Donny being an ex Vic and now a fully fledged Blue Bagger would be quite happy with 25 years of bias against selecting a Vic! |

just talked to an English friend.
He stated that England won the toss in most games this latest series but India scored over 400 runs every first innings..
Not looking good for us if that is true. |

Whoa !! No way I'm a blue anything. I'll always be a Vic. If you read my posts in the Sheffield Shield matches, you'd know.
I've written about Holland not getting a gig on this tour. It beggars belief that Agar got selected. Especially, as Holland's picking up 5+ wickets per match, in SS.
My favourite players, ever, are The Phantom, Tangles, Merv the Swerve, Deano, Warney, The Bear and, more recently, Maxy - all Vics. Yes, I know Tangles was a Taswegian but played for Victoria. _________________ Donny.

Aussie quicks have India in trouble.
Mitchell Starc (2/14) and Josh Hazlewood (1/5) sent the Indian top order packing. When Starc took 2 wickets in his 4th. over, including Virat Kohli for a duck, India was 3/44, in the first Test.
Earlier, Starc was out for 61 as Australia made 260.
