last time I saw so many girls suck that hard i was watching an adult movie.

OK, so there was improvement. Last week we played 5 minutes of football, tonight we played 25. By round 7 we might be playing 4 quarters, but whoops, that's the end of the season.

We've got some good players and granted they're only semi pro part timers and this is the first season, but 2 weeks in a row we start well, the opposition absorbs our best and then canes us and we have no response

It was Collingwood.

Unfortunately although containing the Dees in the second half, we gave them a sniff early in the third and they ran over the top. We didn't have the ability to wrest back control of the ball, contain them again or create enough run ourselves.

I wasn't, I was actually watching the Aces game on the PC in the Family Room, my OH & the 8yo were watching & my son kept giving me updates.
I wouldn't waste my time!

Women's footy has had unbelievable publicity this year. Crowd numbers exceptional. They are already talking about expanding next year etc.

However I reckon the product is crap. I watched the game tonight and the skills are poor. They are having a red hot dip, but it couldn't hold my attention.

I reckon all the hype is just because we are all hanging out for the real stuff and will take any footy fix we can get.

I don't think it will last. It's a novelty act as far as I'm concerned. It'll fizzle out real quick I reckon. Not being sexist, just my humble opinion. I won't be tuning into any more games and certainly wouldn't bother attending. Oh, and our team are crap by the way.

Attention Mods: this is not a comment on the game tonight. This is a comment on women's footy and warrants its own thread so why don't you put it back where it was. I am interested in peoples views about whether they think it's any good or not and if they think it will last. Why put it amongst a game specific comments where it will get lost.

<Mod edit: The mods thank you for your feedback and ask kindly that you not reflect on decisions in public. The private line is open for discussion, though, so we will happily take up your queries there. - the mods team>

I'm sure that the comp has a future, but I agree, the footy right now is very ordinary. I think it'll be ten years before the standard gets to where it needs to be. In the meantime the support will likely wane significantly before the game standard can really justify the support we're seeing right now.

In the long term I think we need to get to a stage where it can be played as a curtain raiser to regular AFL games, rather than as a standalone sport.

Waste of time, money and effort, and will harm the Magpie Brand in the meantime. Hope that's our last game. Bring on the Real team, the pre season comp and beyond, that's our number one priority, nothing else even comes remotely close.

Why wouldn't you give Moana hope a run around centre half forward the kicks are not accurate enough to give her a chance.

I think as the years go on skills will improve don't think you can bag it to much it is its first year. There will be more young girls who will come through path ways in juniors so skills will improve. . The game style is trying to emulate the men possession game which they can't execute. I would turn back the clock and play on quick and kick long
