Champion data has this list

1. Natinui -WCE
2 Goldstein -NM
3 Gawn -Melbourne
4 Sandilands- Freo
5 Mumford-GWS
6 Jacobs-Adelaide
7 Tippett-Syd
8 Ryder-Port
9 Maric-Richnond
10 Nicholls-GCS

No Brody Grundy in top 10 --do Nicksters thing he could oust one of those

Will he make top ten in 2017

Yep, his 2nd half of 2016 would have placed him in the Top 3 I think.
Maric was almost our Reserves ruck for 2017.
Nicholls might struggle to keep Witts out.
Sandi might struggle to get on the park.
Grundy will rank ahead of half this list in 2017 I think

Ryder and Maric ? How do they make the list ? Isn't actually playing the game a pre-requisite? If they are there then Len Thompson and Peter Moore have better claims to be there.

On last year's form he'd be ahead of all but Gawn.

Most of list are ruckman but #7 Tippett is a forward for mine

Least wise he came to Sydney as a forward

So why pick him ahead of a genuine ruckman

Isn't the champion data taken from a rolling 5(?) year period?

If it was based on last year alone, Grundy would be in the top 5 (I suspect top 3 but haven't don the research)...

Don't know where you get your data from? Maric didn't get a game last season.
Not that it matters because the top three on that list are so far ahead of the others (including Sandilands who had a bad 2016). It's not a question of Grundy breaking into the top 10, but is Grundy capable of matching it against Goldstein, Gawn and Natinui?

What's the list based on? Not that it particularly matters

Does that mean a player needs a minimum 40 games to be considered?

I think Grundy is underestimated because he can get so much better, and it is hard for people to consider him that good so early when they know he's going to be an absolute game breaker in a few years time.

He is probably the only player in the AFL right now who I think is capable of winning consecutive Brownlow Medals.

Add a .au to that, your link posts to the US fox sports site, no AFL on there.

Straight away:
*Natinui will miss almost the entire season.

*Sandilands and Maric, although may have been better in their prime, are well passed it now. Both wont play the bulk of the season anyway.

*Mumford IF he plays a full season is probably still better. But he'd need to play a full season.

*Ryder has missed a season and I think on the decline anyway.

*Tippett goes missing when it matters.

*Goldstein & Gawn are still the clear standouts.

But yes, Grundy is easily in the top 10 rucks in the AFL right now. Easily.
