"R.I.P Mario Milano (1935 - 2016)
It absolutely breaks my heart to inform the wider community that a true pioneer and definition of 'Legend' in the industry, Mario Bulfone (Milano) has tragically passed away moments ago.
I'm at a total loss, no words can accurately describe his achievements in this business - likely to never be matched.
My deepest condolences to his family, including the beautiful soul Breanna Bulfone, I can't imagine you're pain right now |
One of the greats of Australian Wrestling, very saddened to hear of his passing dad told me many stories of watching Mario wrestle in Hobart. RIP. _________________ Ðavâgé

I remember watching Mario on TV in the '70s as I'm sure many of us do.
I'm sure he's trading stories with Andre right now.
What a shite year it's been....

I got a DVD on Australian wrestling and I got to see him and a few others wrestle. I wish I was able to have seen him wrestle a bit before though. Dad told me many stories of him, and many others that wrestled in Hobart. Mario was one he spoke of the most, as well as Ron Miller and Larry O'Dea.
I heard of his stroke a few years back and he was inducted into the hall of fame of IWA where he made a lot of appearances and was a booker or owner there once. _________________ Ðavâgé

I remember watching the wrestling back in the 70's at my grandparents house on the black and white TV. Mario Milano was always one of the good guys, The Rock or John Cena of his time. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

He and Spiros Arion kept us safe in the late 60s from Killer Kowalski and Brute Bernard. Great days! |

Obviously way before my time, but I do know that he's regarded as the most well-known wrestler for his time.

Loved watching the wrestling on Sunday's on channel 9 with Jack Little as the commentator.
Mario was always one of the good guys, except when he came under the spell of Jack Hart. Turned bad and the next week came on the show and had grown a moustache. Oh the betrayal to us loyal firms.
But all was right with the world when he came to his senses and apologised to us loyal fans.
RIP Mario. |

Sadly no Mario in this clip, but it's a beauty nevertheless.
A packed Festival Hall, Jack Little commentating and the Australasian Championship between Spiris Arion & Abdullah the Butcher.
It turns into insanity when the ref is knocked out and Big Bad John, Waldo von Eric, King Curtis & Mark Lewin all join in an all in brawl.
Classic stuff !

Mario's a cameo in this clip. Keep watching for the immortal Jack Little's interview with Bulldog Brower.

jack Little was a friend of Dads. We went to his house forBBQs a few times. I was 12 and my little brother tagged with Chief Lttle wolf and me with Killer karl Cox. Mario was never there as he was at church on sundays. Jack used to have great delight in introducing the referee Mike Hunt. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |
