Post subject: Steven Gerrard RetiresReply with quote

Steven Gerrard has announced his retirement from professional football after a long and distinguished career with Liverpool spanning 17 years, and a year with the LA Galaxy at the end.

Even as an opposition supporter, much respect to Stevie G for a great career and remaining loyal to his boyhood club even when many offers from other big clubs came his way throughout the years.

Shame. But he is 38.

Kind of feel like his year in LA is a blight on his career.

But in saying that, it would have been cool if he played in the A-League.

He's 36, but I understand what you're saying that he may have been better off to retire after his time at Liverpool concluded.
