I'm bitterly disappointed that we didn't use pick 105 to get ourselves a genuine gun CHF. What were they thinking? |

didn't we get some of those picks ( that we didn't use ), through trades for our players.
So effectively we weren't smart enough to foresee we were going to not use them? If that makes sense.. |
i think you are using hindsight to criticize the club. As a matter of fact, we didnt use all of the draft picks we stockpiled.
However, the reason to grab those picks was in case they were needed to match an unexpectedly high bid for Daics and Brown. I think it would have been a shame if a higher bid came in for us to go into deficit next year. I bet that factored in.
The other thing i would add is that even though we didnt take a fifth player in the draft this year, we had the option to do so if there was someone left at that pick that we really wanted. in other years we recruited guys like Langdon and Marsh late. I guess there just wasnt anyone that we wanted with that pick. Doesnt mean it was a mistake to preserve the option. |
Having those extra picks for insurance for Daicos and Brown now makes sense.
I was just a tad annoyed we didnt use 61 as it was deemed a deep draft.
The amount of effort we used to scrape trades together for our quality players and then see them passed was annoying, but who cares if Im annoyed at something....they know more than I do.

Is it possible that we passed and did not use our final picks due to list management issues? It is possible that the remainder of the players we recruit this year may all be placed on the rookie list? _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

If we used it we wouldn't be able to nominate Cox Rd1 and have to wait for a LTI to promote him. _________________ All We Can Be |

Grew up a Cats supporter and a Liverpool supporter.
One of my mates from uni used to play with cricket with him, and he couldn't speak highly enough of him. Reckons he'll be an absolute gun for the club. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I don't know what it is about him, but I've got a great feeling bout this kid. I reckon he could develop into a bigger and stronger version of Ben Reid. He could well surprise a few and force his way into our team earlier than expected. |
