Someone responded to one of my Facebook posts that The Promotions Factory , owners of Star Athletic, has gone bust and won't be making our 2017 kits. Any truth to this???

Just had to look up who they were. They kit-out Geelong, Sydney, Port, Freo, and St.Kilda plus NRL and NBL clubs.
They would have to be better than Star Athletic.

I thought the club owned Star athletic and it was a way of making money for the club. I could be wrong here.

I heard this rumour months ago.
Hence why all a Star gear has been heavily discounted for past few months.
Even the female players' guernseys have the Star logo blacked out in all media shots.
But PLEASE not ISC!!! It looks atrocious. Horrible collars, terrible rounded trim on bottom of guernseys, ugly logo.
We're a sporting giant. Surely Adidas or Nike makes the most sense! Adidas has three stripes, just like our guernsey. It's not rocket science.

I assume that the difference between deals wouldn't be major and surely everyone wants to brand the Pies. Why don't they put it t the vote at the members forum. I'd be happy with adidas or back to Puma who we had for many years also.

nah, the benefit was it was less expensive to manufacture than adidas which meant the margins would be better. they have had challenges with quality and quantity as far as i know. kinda the ball game really.
