And now a medium defender. Liam Mackie from Glenelg, cousin of Geelong's Andrew mackie, 186cm defender with good skills _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

and finally a midfielder, JOSH DELUCA-CARDILLO from Peel Thunder.
Edit, AFL site is mucking up. Josh is no longer a Pie and the site says we passed on our plast selection, but the club twitter account says we took Max Lynch from Murray U 18s _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

3 talls and a running defender. I'll take that. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Balances it all out very nicely doesn't it. Also means we didn't get stuck with Minson. |

I am plenty satisfied with that outcome. I know there will be complaints about no backup ruckman (Minson etc) but it is an interesting group to add to the 4 from last Friday. Our tall stocks are suddenly looking a lot better. Hopefully will be quite a ride watching them develop. _________________ No one needs to get hurt, it's only business. |

And didn't Jonty fall... from top 25 national draft all the way to not being selected at all, even as a rookie... |

Looks like Gotch has got a fair bit to work with.
Gotch's ruck experience will prove invaluable _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman

Too slow and a shit kick. Sadly the modern game doesn't suit his ilk.....despite his apparent ability to get the ball. |

I think it makes sense to use rookie picks on speculative rucks. History shows they may take 5 yrs to become good enough to play AFL, or they may prove to be not good enough. Let's hope one of these boys goes on to have a good career with us. |
