3rd's man, corey gault, has officially called time on his afl career. lovely chap and i wish him only the best for the next stages of life post afl. sometimes things don't work out but he gave it a shot. better to have tried etc ...

on behalf of 3rd, i proclaim a one year period of mourning for the afl career of big man.

Always remember him for being preferred over Brodie Grundy for our best 22 by Nathan Buckley in 2016.
What a genius.

Not sure that was the exact rationale but let's say it was for your argument, Buckley, a human being, making an error in judgement, how awful, heads should roll. Must be hard for you being genius and never making any mistakes.

Some posters here, no matter what the thread, seem to turn it into a 'Buckley is a crap coach thread"

Bye big fella, shame it didn't work out. From the first time I saw you running around in the VFL like a midfielder, I was in the fan club.

As JW said, better to have tried etc. Best of luck back home.

+1. I'm in the same club. Showed a bit but just couldn't bring it together when it was needed & hampered by injury.

Thanks for donning the black & white & good luck for your future.

I never thought Corey would make it in the end, but nonetheless all the best to him for the future because he seems like a good lad who gave it a crack at the top level.

" Aye Me Hearties thy ageing legs of granite salt fall onto a toasted sandwich which takes me back to the dingy of my home. Don't weep for me or sell me cheap hankies , but offer me cans of Emu Export to give me courage upon my return. I thank thee for me home near thy Yarra Falls and Bourke Street Malls , I played in winning finals for the great VFL Magpies and my 200cm frame had moments of great joy and remember I was the form straight shooting forward of the NAB Cup in 2016 and buried Dangerfield in his first outing holding a hand bag at the park of Kardinia. On a night where my friend young Alex Fasolo soiled in an Aristotle as the surface is not worth messing , good bye my Pie friends." The SALT OF GAULT
