6 fkn Sunday games in Melbourne. | Yep, I was looking at the games I can get too. 5 home games. Sunday 4 home games. I might get to the Bears as it's a 1.10pm start. As for the rest I will stay at home and watch TV. |

Travel x5 - Swans, Freo, GWS, Suns, Power so that;s not too bad. Hawks, Dons, Port, Cats, Melb twice so that is also ok. We have to beat them all at some stage. Not too bothered by the draw but I know the club will be pissed off by the drop in "prime time" slots but we still have our major games as usual. Surprised that we get Blues only once. The only real irritation is we again have to head to Sydney early on and do not get a return game at the G. _________________ No one needs to get hurt, it's only business. |

Great draw.... |
Absolutely, if we don't make the finals, the draw will have nothing to do with it. |
Well the first nine rounds may prove difficult; both grand finalists in rounds 1 & 3, and another three top eight teams in that period.
Might have to lighten up on Buckley in the first nine rounds now, providing the team is competitive and accountable giving us four-quarters of effort.
I'd think 5W/4L would be a pass mark to build on in second half of season.
Port flogged us with cheap out the back goals last time; we'd want to improve on that.
We know we can take an ageing Geelong at our best.
Whorethorn minus Mitchell & Lewis, plus Mitchell & O'Meara are suddenly an interesting prospect, and ripe for the picking.
Essendon will surely improve with their dopers back, should roll them twice but don't expect any extravagant thrashings.
Melbourne with Lewis added to midfield concern me greatly. We will indeed see what Buckley has or hasn't learned from the last three encounters with this mob. Bernie Vince: 6 votes?
And getting Carlton only once for the first time since 1991[?] is somewhat disappointing.
Only three games at Shitfest Stadium is a bonus too; two of which are of course "Home games". _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

The days when we dominated prime time friday and saturday nights are over at least for now.
Another indication of our waning power. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Happy with that. Day game Easter weekend is great, lets me watch the game at the pub before heading off for an evening at Bluesfest. |

If the victories come, the fans always follow soon after.
Won't help the 2017 Tv slots though.
The ratings/fixtures are always reactive to the teams performances in the year prior. Which in our case, is several years of mediocrity at best. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Hate to labour the year with you, my great crime fighting friend, but in 1991 we definitely only struck them once, and lost.
I think we have played them twice in all the years since then... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

First nine rounds not as difficult as being reported.
Bulldogs - we nearly beat them twice in 2016. Yes they ended being premiers, but that was based on them playing the best footy in the finals. Don't forget they finished the home and away in 7th place.
Swans - very tough for anyone to win at the SCG.
Hawthorn - we ran them to a point in round 23 with our D side, so all things being equal this should be a win.
Geelong & GWS - beat both of them in 2016, but GWS will be tough to beat in 2017.
I actually think St Kilda and Melbourne will be tougher opponents than Hawthorn and Geelong in 2017, but I think we are certainly very capable of beating both of these teams. |

We get screwed in Round 6 after Anzac Day. 5 day break vs Geelong on a 7 day break. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Agreed. If we have to worry about the draw as a reason for whether or not we play finals, we are not good enough to be playing finals. |
