Word is that Buckley wanted Sinclair selected in the Prelim Final side and Tapping told Bucks he wouldn't play Sinclair in any of his sides, as long as his ass pointed south.

Bucks has pointed it north and kicked him out.

Rubbish - Sinclair played 13 AFL games in 2016, therefore ineligible to play VFL finals.

Buckley was going to take the VFL commission to the High Court because of the vibe of the thing.

Most great legal minds supported Buckley because no judge in their right mind would believe that Sinclair could have played 13 senior games.

If Tapping didn't play Sinclair in any side that he coached, then it is good he has gone to Brisbane because that means he can't see a good player when he is right in front of him.

Agree, it is not true, just Mr Cigar stirring the pot.

Goodluck too him, but his last game was a absolute shocker, that Prelim loss, we were friggin woeful, but he has been pretty good. This is the type of positon that could well be filled by retired Brent Harvey, he would have outstanding footy nous and knowledge, an ideal replacement.

Bucks is a very Shite coach but that isn't true

How do you know for Sure then?

As much as I would love to kick the boots in to Bucks.. It's just not true , Taps got a great offer and took it. There's no problem between him and Bucks. I know this because I'm a psychic 😎

Good luck to Tapping in another step up in his Career. Getting closer to the top job and the way Brisbane go through coaches, his senior gig could be real soon. I read nothing into his departure other than he wants to be an AFL coach and that won't happen for him at Collingwood. Just ask Gavin Brown and Alan Richardson both who wanted to but knew it would not happen.

Gavin Brown doesn't want to be a senior coach.
Taps is a massive loss, the boys will be spewing. Hopefully we get him back one day

What a massive over reaction by posters! hows this a massive loss? he was VFL coach who got thumped by 100 pts in his last game??? if we only knew that promoting Tipping to Bucks coaching team was all it would take to go to the GF!!!

Must you bag everyone who has an opinion different to yours?

If you have another view then by all means share it without feeling the need to dump.

1. As I understand it Tapping coached the Pies in the VFL to a grand final
2. Plenty of people including players felt a connection with him as a coach.
3. No one is saying it is the end of the world but simply acknowledge Tapping's contribution to the club - no more & no less.
4. Your interpretation that it is a massive over-reaction seems opportunistic & well a massive over-reaction.

Almost of all us have acknowledged Tappings role ( and a few posters here have an active connection with the VFL team) & wish him well into the future.

Only got the VFL team to the PF but either way I don't know that you've addressed his suggestion that hypotheticals are essentially just that, and that he doesn't see Taps leaving as angst worthy.

rubbish.

as I said before. How do you know for Sure and then Why did Tapping Leave?

Why are you so convinced about a rumour that you give it greater credence than the opinion of someone who works with the VFL squad?

Why does Taps leaving have to be for any other reason than its a senior assistant role?

As I've always understood it, Bucks gives Taps pretty much free reign to coach the VFL as he saw fit so why are you so convinced that would have changed for the PF?

i am of the understanding that tapping was offered a role with the pauperoos for 2016 but turned it down. as for what cam and dave suggest, they are entitled to believe what they want to believe even if it is most likely to be factually incorrect. even if factually so be it. stuff happens, no one really wins but the poster gets to feel good about themselves.

Yep.

Scour the state leagues and the TAC Cup for the best available development coach with a desire to make the leap up into the AFL system (or back into, as the case may be). That's how we found Tapping in the first place, after all...

Exactly, let Harvey earn his stripes elsewhere or in a more junior role.

Good luck to Dale he's earned the right to take the leap into the AFL coaching ranks. It is a bitter pill to swallow that he has departed, but all the best to him.

Not a fan of rumours so I won't comment on that, but will wish him all the best in his new role. I hope it brings you much success.

Could look at the Chargers head coach as with our Alliance with them
