People seem to forget that Williams barely had any pre season at all. His season was also interrupted. I reckon with a full pre season he's pretty good despite some errant kicking.
Having said that Ramsey for 2 years running has played some great footy when he was on the park for the early stages of the last 2 years.
Let's hope he can have a year without injury setback. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

From this thread (And yes, its a shameless plug): http://magpies.net/nick/bb/viewtopic.php?p=1706120&highlight=victorian#1706120
[quote="Presti35"]Williams:
Quote: | Marley is a 23 year old running defender who comes with some baggage.
He is from Perth so if a trade was going to happen, you'd think it'd involve WCE/Freo. These clubs might have their hands tied up trying to get Hill from the Hawks, and (altho unlikely now) Hogan from the Dees.
Victorian Dockers:
-Zac Dawson. No thanks.
-Nick Suban. 26. Dont think he improves the list. Looked good early on, but I dont know if he has continued with it?
-Tom Sheridan. 22 with 50 games under the belt. Would be a steal. Freo would want more.
-Hayden Crozier. 22 tall forward. Freo wont give him up so easily.
-Darcy Tucker. Looks good early on. Hard to tell if hes going to keep it going. Freo might want to hold on to him.
-Matt Taberner. 23, would be a steal. Freo are not that stupid.
-Michael Barlow. Almost 29 and out of contract. Would only consider if a good draft pick was included. His injuries are going to hold him down sadly.
-Ed Langdon. Younger bro of Tom, turns 21 in Feb. Hasnt set the world on fire, but I dont know a great deal about him. Still, I feel like we could do better. Has recently signed an extension.
-Zac Clarke. 26, but not a fair swap. Clarke has dropped off pretty bad if you ask me. His contract is up, so it's likely that Freo will look to move him on. If we traded Witts, we could look at Clarke as a cheap replacement. I think Marley is worth more than a back up ruckman however. EDIT: Just realised he is a free agent, so no trade would be required.
-Alex Silvagni. Almost 29 and not getting a game. Will probably end up delisted. Maybe Carlton bound? Has been linked to the Suns.
Victorian Eagles:
-Mitch Brown. 27 year old twin of Nathan. Is a free agent so no trade would be required. Not a fit at Collingwood regardless.
-Andrew Gaff. 24. Not going anywhere.
-Tom Lamb. 19. Dont know enough about him.
-Luke Shuey. 26. Not going anywhere.
-Liam Duggan. 19 with 24 games under the belt. Looks ok, but again, I dont know much about him.
-Xavier Ellis. 28. Just about all over, but he has a flag and been a decent player. Next. Has recently retired.
-Tom Cole & Jackson Nelson. Both 20 and played less than 3 games each. Sorry, I dont know them.
-Will Schofield. 27. Will remain at WCE until he retires. |
Fremantle hold picks: 3, 39, 57, 75.
West Coast hold: 12, 30, 48, 66. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

I think a Marley trade will happen late in the period as it will be worked in conjunction with movement around us. Hopefully will be used to secure one of the GWS boys (WHE or Stewart). |

If he has to change to another bus on the journey he might miss kick and end up in the wrong place. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

So if he is fit he will get the ball more often and then kick it to the opposition more often? Wouldn't he be more value then the less fit he is? |

I've always liked his attitude on the field but if he wants to go home then let him go. No use trying to force people to stay. |

Yep, after that whole Beams thing, if they want OUT, then move them on.
I'd rather he work on his disposal and decision making over pre-season with somebody like James Clement, who actually knows WTF they're doing... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

I wouldn't read too much into that photo, Dave. Marley and Dustin Martin are probably the only two AFL players of part Maori descent so you would expect them to be friends. Doesn't mean that Marley wants to go to Richmond. _________________ Born and raised in Black and White |

I agree. Marley is faster than most of our defenders and his crazy/brave play is only matched by Sinclair. I like his attitude, I'd keep him if possible but I wouldn't play him ahead of Maynard, Ramsay or Langdon if they are available. _________________ Born and raised in Black and White |
