Hopefully, next year they'll give it to George Benson for "Breezin'".

Maybe Mugwump will like it better next year when they gave Ray and Dave Davies the joint-prize in Physics?

Patti Smith would be my nomination if we are talkin' poet singers, chuck in Leonard Cohen & Laurie Anderson.

Happy 90th birthday to that other great American poet of the 20th century, Charles Edward Anderson Berry.

He hasn't released a collection of poetry for 38 years but has just announced that a further volume is coming shortly.

I'll bet he's too pooped to pop!

He's bringing out another album next year!

And I had no idea he was responsible for that classic "my dingaling!"

Actually I had no idea he was responsible for so many of those songs that have been song by others over the year!

To me that's a true classic song writer, when a 90 year olds songs are still valid today. That's pretty awesome

Happy birthday Chuck!

Well, James Reyne is about as indecipherable when he sings as Dylan. Razz

To be fair, it wasn't Reyne I had principally in mind when I framed that question.

Bob will be in Sweden to snig some snogs this coming weekend and he's going to pop in to see the Nobel folk, give them a pre-recorded Nobel lecture and collect his prize. It seems there's also to be a group Nobel outing to one of Bob's shows. It's not clear whether they'll be paying for tickets.
