Stephen King's IT.

Scared the bejesus out of me when it first came out on video. Haven't seen it since. Only brings back bad memories.

I think nothing beats Eraserhead. Seen it half a dozen times and it still chills me.

Polanksi's "The Tenant" - I have fading memories of being quite scared watching Polanski's "Rosemaries baby" but I tend not to watch films I will be scared by.

I haven't watched "Wolf Creek" yet, not sure that I will.

When I was a kid my brother made me watch Stephen King's The Langoliers. It scared the crap out of me.

I also managed to watch parts of Arachnophobia, and as a 6-7 year old that also scared my shitless. Had nightmares from both movies.

The freaky clown haunted me for weeks after watching that.

The Evil Dead was scary for its vintage.

1. The Exorcist
2. Jaws
3. The Omen

That's pretty much it really. Cant think of any other that have come close. The Poltergeist, Friday The 13th & Halloween movies were OK, but they didnt have the effect that those three did. Even now, The Exorcist is still heavy going.

This. Was very young at it scarred the crap out of me.
Number one and talk about clowns.......
Then
Exorcist
evil dead
Maniac
texas chainsaw masacre
horror hospital
scanners
Jaws

Watched them all under 10 years old. My parrents would have a "video night" with friends.
Something about the low budget crap story movies.
Jaws scarred me because I loved snorkling at the time. Scuba now and of this list its probably the only movie I would watch now.
Fair to say I havent been worried about horror movies for years.
