I hope this does not become a repeat of the Mal Michael trade. The similarities are under developed and under valued key position players. Frost has more ability then some members suggest. This year he looked confused on the field regarding whether to punch or mark to kick or handball. VFL form often does not reflect AFL ability for key defendes. Frost is one of the mid list players I referred to in a previous thread whose development has been impacted by substandard communication in the footy Ops department.

Frost is worth a second round pick.

Frost is worth a second round pick? I don't think so. Another Mal Michael? Oh my!

Punch first (punch only) defenders are not what teams demand. Frost lacks awareness and skill under pressure. He will not be a great loss as we also have Nathan Brown to play a similar role. Frost outpointed Franklin in his debut on a slippery night in Sydney a few years ago, and should have won the ANZAC Day medal last year in the pouring rain. Put him on a dry track and it's heart in mouth stuff. We already have Marsh ... we don't need Frost as well.

Frost has no tricks and is a poor offensive threat. Brown Marsh and Keefe ahead.

See ball,Get ball,Kick /Handball it.Don't stop,turn around,look confused then spill ball. I just can't see how you'd be confused about that.It's football101.

Sorry to see Frost leave, if it happens. When he made his Collingwood debut in the AFL he nailed the best opposition forwards in the game.

This form wasn't seen in in 2016. Why? I don't know. But the talent is still there. Its probably going to bite us on the arse when we play Brissie in the years ahead.

The greatest sin of an AFL footballer is to go to ground. If it happens once you can forgive ( Ryce Shaw in the 2003 GF), but if it happens more than once you automatically rule a line through him.

So won't be sorry to see Jack go, as he is a really nice guy and hope he can resurrect his career at Brisbane, but please don't think this is going to bite us on the arse, because I can assure you it won't.

Not just AFL, any footballer; the number one rule of footy is keep your feet at the contest!

Is it possible he and Witts could go to Brisbane together?

It's highly unlikely, but they are looking at offloading Rockliff.

The other thing of course, it they now have a juicy new priority pick at the start of round 2.

Surely someone has demanded pick 19 by now for this elite defender we have been hiding in the VFL?

^ Frost and 26 for 19? Frost and Witts for 19 and 75?

It's so, so, so doubtful. But wouldn't you love to get that pick.

Surely the rules prohibit them trading a priority pick?

Surely you'd think so. But it'd surely be hilarious if they traded it. Surely?

No, according to the AFL yesterday there are no restrictions on it.

Seems to be a few clubs interested in Witts. I'd expect it will be GCS pick 27 or possibly better than that (and may end up as other picks totalling more points as we will be after points for WHE trade and Brown/Daicos).

Can't see Frost (even with BRI offering a 3 year contract) commanding much more than a 3rd - so, from memory, about pick 48 BRI have (and may end up as other picks totalling more points as we will be after points for WHE trade and Brown/Daicos).
