I'll admit I was surprised by the picks taken, but I think the observation that in this draft clubs rate the top thirty strongly means that this years market value is squeezed lower because the market rates early picks as more valuable.
Does anyone know what the club were looking for when they were shopping Witts around at the end of last year? Would we have taken those picks then? Would the supporters have been outraged if they had? Would be an interesting comparison. |

Most of the deals this trade period have been shit really. Not just us.
Everybody ripping each other off like a deal gone bad in Underbelly.
Half these recruiters have done well to keep themselves alive and not get capped in the carpark... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

This trade season isn't bringing home the bacon.
It is bringing home the snout.
It stinks!!!! |
Cheer up mate.
Once the trade period is over you can get back on with smashing Bucks. |
Good old bux.
Soon to be the last man standing. |
NO mate, Chuck Berry is, just turned 90, and has a new rock n roll album coming out, first in 40 yrs, now that is last man standing. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Cox kept him out of the team, and has already gone past him. Think that through. _________________ Get back on top. |

I agree with Cam. I always liked Wittsy, but if his trade was the price to lock in the F/S selections of Daics and Browny I won't complain ever. _________________ Taobh le taobh bata muid le chéile |

I hope he makes the most of his move.
Has potential but needs a bit of mongrel.
FWIW, im glad we moved him on. Time for Grundy to Explode. |

Bucks tried his best to play them both, unfortunately Wittsy couldn't play forward. At one stage none of them could mark overhead, then Grundy just took off and became a bloody good ruckman and the other stagnated.
I hope we don't regret this in a few years, but at this stage it's the right thing to do. I like Wittsy but there are 2 things that worry me about him, he's not very physical for a big unit and he's terrible overhead.
As Cam said Coxy went past him. _________________ "Still waiting for your call Caroline ... not a quote in sight. Don't ever presume to speak on Collingwood's behalf," |
