I can't believe how disinterested he looked last Saturday, something was clearly amiss....hearing the Gold Coast deal is pretty close to being done deal, perhaps he doesn't like the beach

Disinterested? Didn't you see the pass he drilled at the forward on the edge of the goal square? That took some doing.

Disinterested is a good term for it. Another would be sleepwalking.

He came awake for a few seconds every now and then when the ball basically fell into his lap, did some good things, and then fell asleep again. Confused

Obviously was in body preservation mode.

Can't get injured, that may cost me a big contract.

Jatsad and Stui I agree with you both.
Which is idiotic.
Completely and utterly confused on this.

Yeah against Port Melbourne in 2013 Reserves at Port Melbourne's ground. Yeah I was there. Got out gunned by Wayde Skipper and David Fanning.

Well, it might be if it meant something completely different. The word you want is "uninterested".

"Disinterested" means fair and even-handed. For example, a good umpire is disinterested - he doesn't care who wins the game, he just wants to see that the rules are followed.

Quote:
An uninterested person is bored, unconcerned, or indifferent; a disinterested person is impartial, unbiased, or has no stake in the outcome.

I reckon a disinterested judge would rate Witts as worth about Pick 18-22,. but could go anywhere in the 15-30 range, depending on who wants him and how keen they are. Witts is a clearly better prospect than Cam Wood ever was, but we paid significant overs for Woody. Our bad.

(If you asked an uninterested judge what Witts is worth, of course, he would say "who cares?")

My mother. Nothing gets past my mother. She terrifies people, which is peculiar as she is softly spoken, mild-mannered, and non-judgmental to a fault.

Nevertheless, I intend to keep on correcting people's English until I have caused the rest of the world confusion, consternation, and correction equal to that which I have undergone myself. The Grand Plan is well on track and proceeding smoothly. I expect to achieve this goal on time and on budget. Roll on May 2317!

Good luck with that. The tale of Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged comes to mind.
