Wet Toast and the Shockers are close to a deal on a swap for him meaning he won't be wearing black 'n white!
Jack Hannath has been cut by Freo, a big young guy, basketball background, played 100 games, mum lives in Melbourne, might be handy back up?

Jack Hannath; 25yo. 20 AFL games.
He is a third string ruckman only. Which is something we need. But is he a better option that Maric/Minson simply because of the age difference? The older guys can offer some kind of mentoring role whilst playing VFL and acting as insurance in the event of injury or if we decide to rest one of our talls. Hannath cannot offer any kind of mentoring, but would probably be a healthier choice if we needed to cover an injury.
Zac Clarke is probably the one to go for if we are worried about an age issue. But he'll ask for a bigger pay cheque and would be looking for more playing time. He'd be second fiddle to Grundy and that's probably not something he'd be interested in.

Thanks Presti for the reply. I thought 340 odd views with no reply might be some sort of record.
As for Hannath, I'm not sure but if he wasn't a Ross Lyon fave might not have got a lot of opportunities albeit 100 games - ask Luke Ball??

If we're looking for a third string ruck, quality doesn't matter much. Hannath wouldn't be a bad option but he is undersized (199 and 88). We'd definitely prefer Maric if there was some confidence in his health.

I think he's only played 20 odd games at AFL level?

Yes you're right. Got my info mixed up, my apologies. He did have a 100th celebration with Peel Thunder which I think may have been a mixture of games he has played for them, Central Districts (where he was recruited from) and Freo? His mum told me he ran out on the ground wit h his kids for his 100th so I just presumed......
