| Post subject: Footy Gods |  |

I was listening to Paddy Dangerfield being interviewed today (for about the thousandth time this week) about his belief in the footy gods and how he used to talk with Scott Camporeale about this all the time when he was at the Crows.
I too believe in the footy gods (or maybe it's fate/destiny). I actually said to a great mate of mine (who supports the Bulldogs), a couple of weeks ago that the footy gods were smiling on them.
They were certainly blessing us when that ball bounced away from Milne in the 2010 drawn GF. They haven't been very kind to us in recent years with injuries, but perhaps they will think it's our turn again soon.
What about Buddy being injured early today, simply by stepping on a team mate's foot? That certainly reduced his impact considerably.
Anyone else think there is such a phenomenon as "footy gods" or is it really just hard work and skilled planning? |

These footy Gods sure as hell weren't with us in 1960 64 66 70 77 79 80 81 02 03 011 Grannies, guess the bastards must have had a set against us eh.

The Footy Gods delivered us the great Nathan Buckley, to lead us to the Promised Land - twice.
Worked out well so far.

Well lets talk about the bounce. Footy gods or footy devil?
They haven't shined on the Saints except that one time.
And who are they? What do they look like? Where did they come from?
Could they have been born in the shack next to Jesus?
