Daicos didn't play TAC last year and limited games this year so he hasn't had a lot of sightings.
Good.
I can't see us passing on either of these kids |
Agree, I think it's very unlikely, but I doubt Hine will allow any club to push him beyond what he thinks is a reasonable price. The apparent evenness of this draft across the top 40-50 hopefully means they'll slide and we get a couple of bargains in much the same way Silvagni and a couple of others slipped last year. Time will tell. |

Young Josh seems to have many of the traits Peter did - which some would say is no surprise but in practice is not as common as you might think.
Peter had the ability to be three moves ahead of his opponent whatever the situation, just like a chess grand master. His eldest seems to have similar smarts.
Some might say its not much but if it gives a player half a second more to assess and dispose of the pill then it's enough to lift that player from AA to elite - which is what Peter was. |

We have to take Josh just so we are guaranteed Nick, the next Daicos kid.
Nick is already a star at under 15 level, so is a few years away, but will be a star. |

Do we have any F/S prospects playing in the future stars game tomorrow? |

The article on the AFL site listed Daicos (18 disposals) and Brown in the best for their respective teams. Daicos played on "Team Judd", apparently. |

Yes they played on opposing teams, Josh in the winning side. McCluggage and Taranto looked very good and will go very high up in the draft. |

Think of it as a defence mechanism for dealing with the inevitable calls for them to be sacked/traded if they turn out to be, say, merely wonderful footballers but not quite perfect (like, eg, Shaw and Cloke, just to think of a couple of father/son recruits that cop a routine bagging on here, despite their fine contribution to our great club).
I'm looking forward to 2028 - when all 14 of Jarryd Blair's children are drafted by the 'Pies in the one year. |

It was a well deserved nomination though.
It was a ripping debut game. Had 10 or so tackles for memory?
I really thought we'd unearthed a cracking player when Barham was around, but his lust for the beach had too much of his attention. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
